Μέσω της ΕΛΙΞ μπορείς τώρα να δηλώσεις συμμετοχή για ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον πρόγραμμα του ESC με το όνομα "Περιβαλλοντική και διαπολιτισμική ευαισθητοποίηση στο Sea Center (Environmental and intercultural awareness at the Sea Center)”, το οποίο βρίσκεται στην κοινότητα του Cancale, στη θάλασσα της Μάγχης! Υπεύθυνη για το project είναι η Γαλλική οργάνωση "Concordia".
Στο πλαίσιο του Project, ο/η εθελοντής/εθελόντρια θα συνεργαστεί με το "Virginie Heriot Sea Center", υποδεχόμενος ομάδες παιδιών οι οποίες έρχονται με τους συνοδούς τους κάθε εβδομάδα ώστε να ανακαλύψουν το θαλάσσιο περιβάλλον, μέσα από την παρακολούθηση κινουμένων σχεδίων και άλλες δραστηριότητες. Πέρα από την αρχική καθοδήγηση, ο/η εθελοντής/εθελόντρια ενθαρρύνεται ώστε να δημιουργήσει τις δικές του δραστηριότητες για τα παιδιά, ενώ κατά τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες μπορεί να συμμετέχει σε workcamp της Concordia, ως συναρχηγός.
Στο πλαίσιο των καθηκόντων περιλαμβάνονται :
- Συνεργασία στο έργο της διδακτικής ομάδας με πυλώνα τη διαπολιτισμική διάδραση
- Συμμετοχή στις εργασίες του κέντρου θαλάσσιων μαθημάτων
- Πρόταση για δραστηριότητες σε σχέση με το θαλάσσιο περιβάλλον ή σύμφωνα με τα ενδιαφέροντα των εθελοντών
- Προτάσεις μαγειρικής, παρουσίαση μουσικής, αθλήματα, παιχνίδια από τη χώρα καταγωγής των εθελοντών
- Περιβαλλοντική παιδαγωγική
Αναζητούμε έναν/μία (1) εθελοντή/εθελόντρια ώστε να συμμετέχει μέχρι και το καλοκαίρι του 2024, σε αυτό το φιλόδοξο project. Βασική προϋπόθεση είναι η βασική γνώση της γαλλικής γλώσσας, είτε η διάθεση για εκμάθηση της!

ABOUT THE PROJECT :
Concordia is a French national non-governmental and non-profit making organization, founded in 1950 by English, German and French youngsters. Their aim was to enhance the values of tolerance and peace after the 2nd world war by organizing international workcamps of young volunteers. The main objectives of Concordia are the following:
- Education in helping young people to grow up by acquisition of collective life.
- Culture in favoring the youth exchanges on an international level, always emphasizing the values of peace, friendship and mutual respect.
- Social in taking part in concrete actions of solidarity, as well as supporting a civic attitude
- Social economy contributes to realization of local development, in favor of the environment, patrimony, tourism and socio-educational animation.
Project environment
The ESC project takes place in the region of Bretagny, west of France in the seaside of Cancale, 15 km far from Saint Malo, 80 km far from Rennes.
The volunteering will take place in the “Pointe du Grouin” which stretches out in a majestic setting between Cancale and Saint-Malo. During the project, the volunteer will work with the Virginie Heriot Sea Center which welcomes kid’s groups every week with their teacher to discover the sea environment, make activities and animations. As we believe that doing an ESC is also to be involved in the activities of the association, we ask the volunteers to take part in the local events and activities that Concordia organizes (volunteer’s meeting, organization events, etc.) Moreover, we encourage volunteers to develop a personal project besides their initial missions. In July and August the volunteer could participate in the work camps with Concordia as a co-leader or leader.
Task and activities
The main task of the volunteer is to work with childrens who come to the Sea Center, each week, for a scholarship. In particular the volunteer will, with the teaching team :
- Collaborate in the work of the teaching team by bringing an intercultural dimension ;
- Get involved in the life of the sea class center ;
- Propose activity times in connection with the marine environment or according to interests of volunteers ;
- Intercultural promotion through participation in activities with groups and presentation of one's country to children welcomed (culinary proposals, presentation of music, sports, games from the volunteer's country of origin) ;
- Environmental pedagogy ;
- Improving kids' experiences.
The detailed activities will be proposed by the volunteer according to his/her skills and interests and with the support of the pedagogical team. During the activities proposed to the pupils, they will be able to assist the teachers or carry out the activity under their responsibility. There is a weekly meeting during which we decide with the volunteers which activities they will participate in or what activities they will offer during the week.
Profile of participants
- Basics knowledge in French or motivation to learn french;
- Motivation to work with kids.. Experiences in the field will be a plus;
- Cultural, artistic or sport skills are more than welcome;
- Be flexible, autonomous and open to meet/live with new people, to think outside of the box;
- Be willing to develop a personal project;
- Motivation to discover the associative world and all its activities;
- Driving license would be useful.
Practical conditions
Accommodation in one room in the sea center. Food: the volunteer will be allowed to eat in the canteen for lunch and dinner on weekdays, on weekends he will have access to a supermarket card for his own meals. The volunteer will be at the sea center from 8am to 2pm or from 2pm to 8 am. Once a week, volunteers will organize evening activities until 9:30 pm. Schedules are flexible. She/he will be allowed to take days off during the school holidays. The volunteer will be able to take part in the trainings organised by the French National Agency, as well as other trainings organised by Concordia.
