Discover the story of Alejandra, who took part in an ELIX workcamp:
“Hello, my name is Alejandra Arévalo and I am an architecture student from Colombia.
I had the opportunity to participate in a two-week workcamp at Amvrakia (Greece) in July 2019.
Read the testimony of Andrea, who came from Italy to take part in the second session of the ELIX workcamp in Amvrakia.
“During Summer 2019, I took part in the workcamp “Sustainable Paths in Amvrakia" organised by ELIX. For me, this was the best opportunity to visit Greece and see the not so tourist parts of this country.
In July 2018, Andrea left Slovekia to participate in a workcamp of 2 weeks, as a European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteer through the project "V.I.P. - Volunteering is Possible" with the financial support of the Erasmus+ Programme funded by the European Commission. She supported children with disabilites throught “This summer is ours“, a project organized by ELIX in Elefsina. Discover what she wrote about her experience.
During summer 2018, Lisa participated in the workcamp “Summer is in the City” as a European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteer through the project "V.I.P. - Volunteering is Possible" with the financial support of the Erasmus+ Programme funded by the European Commission.
“My name is Lisa, I am Belgian and I participated in 2018 in the ELIX workcamp “Summer in the City” which took place in Greece in Magoula.
When I started to talk about the possibility of joining a voluntary workcamp during the summer, nobody took me seriously. Nor did I, in the first place. I was not the kind of person to do something like that. That was what I thought, and what all the others thought too, I can guess.
