The "All Children in Education (ACE Project)" Program, created and implemented by ELIX-Conservation Volunteers Greece, successfully continues for a second year with the support and funding of UNICEF and the European Union. The program is implemented in the Homework and Creative Activities Centres (HCACs) of ELIX, which are located in Athens on Patision Street, in the wider area of Western Attica and Facility of Elefsina, in the Facility of Corinth and finally in the wider area of Peloponnese.

The purpose of the “ACE Project” is to ensure that all children, refugees and immigrants of school age will have access to the Greek educational system, that they will be smoothly integrated into the school community and that cases of school dropout will be eliminated. The “ACE Project” focuses on children, refugees and immigrants between the ages of 4 and 17 and includes Greek and English language courses, mathematics and natural sciences lessons, remedial teaching and psychosocial activities. Among the services provided by the Project are the following:

  • Non-Formal Education Services
  • Remedial Teaching
  • Early childhood education
  • Educational Activities
  • Learning foreign languages
  • Soft skills
  • Support for accessing and continuing formal education.

During the 2021-2022 school year, ELIX supported over 1,000 children, asylum seekers and immigrants, in Attica and Peloponnese, through enrollment in Public Schools, remedial teaching, language and science classes.
