ELIX’s Director, Mrs Judith Wunderlich-Antoniou, visited Medan, Indonesia, in order to participate in the "Building Bridges" Toolkit Development Workshop.
ELIX coordinates the international project "Building Bridges - Youth Work for Peace and Dialogue", together with the International Falcon Movement - Socialist Educational International (Belgium), which started in October 2018 and will last until October 2020.
The aim of the project is to promote peace education through a transcontinental approach focusing mainly on Africa, Asia and Latin America.
At the core of this program is the production of a relevant MooC (Massive Open Online Course), which will result from the workings of two interactive youth counseling seminars and it is a first-class opportunity for ELIX to transfer its know-how and good practices to organizations outside Europe, since this program is the first that ELIX has been taking over outside the EU in the last nine years.
In this context, ELIX will be hosting the “Capacity Building workshop, Local and Regional Projects” in Athens, from 11th to 16th June 2019.
The project is co-funded by Erasmus+ of the European Union, with partners such as Girls Excel (Cameroon), Youth Advocates Ghana (Ghana), KKSP Foundation (Indonesia), Juventud País Solidario (Paraguay), Asociacion Educativa Nuevo Amauta (Peru), AKBAYAN Youth (Philippines).
