Every year ELIX organizes several voluntary action programmes (Workcamps) of short, medium and long duration in Greece, aiming to protect the environment, to preserve cultural heritage and to promote social justice and cohesion.

PARTNER:
ELIX is organizing for the fourth consecutive year "Summer in the city" workcamps. These 2 new workcamps are funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (www.SNF.org).
The workcamps aim to support underprivileged families that encounter difficulties, by providing their children the opportunity to spend a quality summer time at school through creative activities.
PARTNER:
ELIX will organize for the third consecutive year this type of workcamps. This year it's in cooperation with the "Hellenic Hope Foundation".

PARTNER:
ELIX will organize two workcamps within the programme "NEON CHORA" with the cooperation of 4 different Greek social organizations. The programme is funded by the Bodossaki Foundation.and the program frame "We are all Citizens" - eea Grants. These workcamps aim to support young people socially disadvantaged and/or of migrant background by providing them the opportunity to spend a quality time through creative activities and give them a chance to address their own issues in an original way.

ELIX will organize two workcamps "THIS SUMMER IS OURS" with the support of the company - Hellenic Petroleum - and the Municipality of Kordelio-Evosmos in Thessaloniki. The workcamp aims to support children and young people with mental and physical disabilities, by providing them the opportunity to spend a quality summer time through creative activities since it is difficult for this target group to find any activities they could take part in during summer.

For the third consecutive year, ELIX will organize two volunteers workcamps "THIS SUMMER IS OURS" with the support of the company - Hellenic Petroleum - and the Municipality of Elefsina. The workcamp aims to support children and young people with mental and physical disabilities, by providing them the opportunity to spend a quality summer time through creative activities since it is difficult for this target group to find any activities they could take part in during summer.
PARTNER: This project is a follow-up in ELIX's involvement in this area of Greece, the site in which the spirit of the Olympic Games was born. ELIX has organized quite a number of projects around the renowned archaeological site since 2003, in cooperation with a local group, the "Cultural and Environmental Association of Ancient Olympia", recognizing the value of community service.

ELIX is organizing two workcamps in 2014 under the framework of -Lessons of Solidarity- Project which aims to proactively support Greek Institutions in Attica, hosting and caring for children with social problems and mental and physical disabilities. The LESSONS OF SOLIDARITY Project is part of a three year initiative funded by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (www.SNF.org) in order to assist the increasing needs such Institutions are facing in view of the socioeconomic crisis in Greece.
