Those volunteer projects take place in small villages all around Finland and the aim is to meet the local population and work together in order to help building a global understanding by intercultural learning and make a useful project of which the local community will benefit after the departure of volunteers.

The other participants were about to take place in local actions near their hometown after their returnee from an experience of volunteering abroad. They were keen to make differences in their local communities and wished to learn more how their actions can have broaden positive impact on their fellow citizens.

The citizens action topics were: volunteering on different levels (local, national and international), intercultural, communication, leadership, etc.

Besides this general information and tips how to organize a worthy volunteer project, how to engage and motivate the participants - citizens and how to make a change in the community, they also wished to gain more information about the EC4LA Programme and its possibilities and they were keen on networking with other participants with similar ideas, with which they could prepare and run a voluntary project together.
