Project of volunteering around social animation in popular neighbourhood of the 19th district in Paris
Description: Two volunteers worked during one year with Concordia to build a local of animation for children and teenagers of this district. The main purpose is to promote citizenship and respect in this neighbourhood around cultural and social activities.
Methodology: We worked with a social landlord of Paris which has several housing on the neighbourhood. They found that no activities were proposed for children and teenagers and the adults complained about noises and squatting problems. With our partner and thanks to two volunteers, we managed a room of social and cultural animations for teenagers and children.
Targets groups: Teenagers and children of the neighbourhood, but also the parents and the local associations to involve them in this district to create social link.
