ELIX from 11th to 16th of June hosted the training for capacity building for local and regional projects as part of the "Building Bridges Youth Work for Peace and Dialogue" project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
One member of the leadership of the partner organisation and one person from a local authority or decision maker in the community or country from each of the four countries – Peru, Paraguay, Indonesia, Philippines, Cameroon and Ghana - came together for this activity, along with members of the International Falcon Movement - Socialist Educational International (IFM-SEI) and ELIX programme team.
During the training participants had the chance to explore the following topics:
- Project Cycle Management
- Funding and fundraising
- Crisis management
- Using information and communications technology tools
- How to plan and implement localised and regional projects
- Intercultural learning
Participants started developing local and regional actions that will be implemented in their contexts using the results and outcomes of the training.
The next steps in the project are including 2 trainings, on Peace education and Social inclusion that will be implemented in Latin America (Paraguay) and Africa (Cameroon).
