ELIX is organising the Youth Exchange project “X-Press YOUrself”, that will be held in May in Athens with participants from 6 different countries.

“X-Press Yourself” is a youth exchange program organized by ELIX-Conservation Volunteers Greece, aiming to the promotion of one of the fundamental human rights, the freedom of speech and the right of expression. 30 participants from Greece, Italy, Spain, Germany, Estonia, Turkey will together try alternative ways of expressing as a mean to overcome the O-pression felt nowadays in some aspects of our Euro-society. Europe is a multinational platform open to everyone and all European citizens and inhabitants should have the right to express themselves freely.
Our goal is to learn how we can overcome this barrier and find alternative and interactive ways of expressing our opinion under NO-pressure.
The Youth Exchange is based on a non-formal & outdoor education approach and Learn-by-Doing methodologies, so as to let the participants learn from experience and reflection, thanks to peer-to-peer debriefing sessions and through the use of different methods such as: small/big group work, role plays, simulation exercises, debates, theoretical input and practical work.
The last days of the program the participants have the opportunity to make their own Youth Magazine and a small documentary, from scratch, working as journalists, getting inspired by the everyday problems of European society.
Participants will be accommodated in the Scouts Premises, inside the Environmental Awareness Park "Antonis Tritsis". Toilets, showers and cooking facilities will be provided.
PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS:
We are looking for motivated young people, between the ages of 18 and 30 with a strong interest towards the theme of the Youth Exchange and open to exchange views and opinions. No need of former experience in Youth Exchanges. Only positive energy is required!
