    The Ambassador of Finland in Greece, Juha Pyykkö, visited one of the four ELIX Learning Centers for refugee children in Attica on Tuesday, May 23rd.

    The Ambassador was informed in relation to the project and the efforts made to help refugee children in Greece access formal education.

    ELIX will participate in the sports and culture event that will take place on May 23rd, at Kaftanzoglio Stadium in Thessaloniki, organized by the Regional Directorate of Education of Central Macedonia and the Coordination Office for Education of Refugees.

    The event embraces the moto «ΠαιΖΟΥΜΕ Μαζί», which means “we play (and live) together”. It is addressed to both refugee children, hosted in camp sites in Central Macedonia, enrolled in Reception Classes for the Education of Refugees, as well as local children enrolled in the morning classes hosted in the same school facilities of primary and secondary education.

    ELIX in cooperation with Finn Church Aid (FCA) and Teachers without Borders, and funded by UNICEF and Church of Sweden, has started the implementation of the educational programme addressed to refugee children aged 3-17, who are staying in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia. The programme will last until June 2017.

    The aim is to provide quality, non-formal education, to enhance psychosocial well-being and positive integration. Read the Press Release.

    ELIX in cooperation with Finn Church Aid (FCA) and Church of Sweden, and funded by UNICEF, has started the implementation of an educational programme addressed to refugee children aged 3-17, who are staying in the regions of Attica and Central Macedonia.

    In Attica the programme takes place at the Eleonas camp site and other urban buildings, which function as educational centers, while in Central Macedonia at the camp sites of Derveni (Alexyl) and Kavallari (Sinatex).
