ELIX’s Andres Santiago and Tilemachos Boni visited Paraguay from 18th to 25th August in order to participate in the workshop «Youth worker training in peace education» of the project «Building Bridges: Youth Work for Peace and Dialogue», a programme that we co-ordinate together with IFM-SEI.
With the support of Erasmus+, youth workers will learn about peace education and how to put it into practice in localised contexts. The training will be a combination of theory, practice and planning, in the Latin American context where peace processes will be analysed.
The group will come together again after four months for the second training (to be implemented in Africa) after they have implemented their localised projects. The entirety of the training will be conducted using non-formal education methodologies with a learner-focused and flexible approach.
Each partner has delegated 2 youth workers who will undertake the implementation of the local and regional activities in their countries – Peru, Paraguay, Indonesia, Philippines, Cameroon and Ghana.
