In collaboration with Evergreen Yoga Studio, ELIX is offering free Yoga Lessons guided by professional instructors. We aim to give the participants a safe space to develop the movement of their bodies, to relax and to devote valuable time to themselves.

You don't need any kind of experience or previous practice, just wear your most comfortable clothes and we are waiting for you at the p^2 multispace area.

Do you fancy knitting and you don’t know how to start. Your grandmother is far and can’t teach you? Come and join the knitting group in our p^2 multispace and you will discover your creativity and new skills.

The "All Children in Education (ACE Project)" Program, created and implemented by ELIX-Conservation Volunteers Greece, successfully continues for a second year with the support and funding of UNICEF and the European Union. The program is implemented in the Homework and Creative Activities Centres (HCACs) of ELIX, which are located in Athens on Patision Street, in the wider area of Western Attica and Facility of Elefsina, in the Facility of Corinth and finally in the wider area of Peloponnese.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
“MasterPEACE - Training of Youth Multipliers on Peace and Human Rights Education” is the title of the new project proposed by ELIX that will be implemented 8 to 15 of March 2023 with the involvement of more than 25 youth workers who will develop their competences as youth multipliers in peace and human rights education.

The hospitality structure of Elefsina opened its doors for the reception and long-term hosting of refugees from Ukraine, in April 2022. The structure can host up to 150 people.

The "All Children in Education - All Children in Education (ACE Project)" Program is implemented in the Homework and Creative Activities Centres (HCACs) of ELIX, are located in Athens on Patision Street, in the wider area of Western Attica and Facility of Elefsina, in the Facility of Corinth and finally in the wider area of Peloponnese. Operation of Kindergartens takes place in the HCACs of Corinth and Patision Street.

ELIX is implementing a non-formal education project supporting migrant and refugee youth. As an ESC volunteer’ you will be responsible to support the operation and the function of the multispace of ELIX by organizing activities for young people residing in the center of Athens.

In cooperation with the Städtische Grundschule Unterstadt (Belgium), ELIX and other stakeholders started the "The Children of Sheherazade" project, a three year evaluation research study of an oral storytelling project. 
ELIX is partnering with the organisation "Haus der Märchen und Geschichten e.V." (Germany) and the schools "Vester Skerninge Friskole" (Denmark), "Städtische Gemeinschafts- grundschule Düppelstraße" (Germany) and "Øster Åby Friskole" (Denmark).

From 9^th to 22^nd of September 2021, ELIX successfully implemented the project “TeamWorks for Solidarity” which was supported by the Council of Europe through the European Youth Foundation [EYF] and also the National Agency of Greece through the program of European Solidarity Corps [ESC].

The duration of the project was 14 days, located in Lesvos with the participation of 10 young people from different European countries. The participants, after receiving high-quality training adjusted to the needs of such work, were then deployed and implemented several activities with the target group.

ELIX will implement the education programme “TeamWorks for Solidarity” (14 days duration) with the support of European Youth Foundation [EYF] and Youth and Lifelong Learning Foundation of Greece funded by European Solidarity Corps [ESC] in order to promote, enhance understanding and mobilize young people in youth matters (youth/social workers) and benefit vulnerable population groups of children and adult refugee and asylum seekers.

ELIX joins the Register of Greek and Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) dealing with international protection, migration and social integration issues.

ELIX participates in a 3-year project from January 2020 to December 2022, titled “Time 2 Team” that has been approved for funding by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

This project will be coordinated by Concordia (France) and will be implemented by ELIX - Conservation Volunteers (Greece), Allianssi (Finland), Grenzenlos (Austria), IBG (Germany), Lunaria (Italy), Egyesek Youth Organization (Hungary), Solidarités Jeunesses (France), and Compagnons Bâtisseurs - CBB (Belgium), as well as the international network “Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations” (Alliance).

Aiming to offer a quality non-formal education programme to children, refugees and migrants, ELIX was invited to respond to the new conditions that formed in Lesvos after the catastrophic fires in Moria.

With the valuable support of UNICEF, with which we have been working together since 2016, a team of educators and supportive staff settled in Mytilene and started creating classes in the new temporary Reception and Identification Center.

Respect for Human Rights should Prevail over Use of Force. Following yesterday's fire in Moria, on Lesvos, which destroyed the Reception and Identification Centre, 31 civil society organizations call on the Greek Government to immediately provide assistance to people who lost their shelter.

Athens, 4 September 2020: The first COVID-19 case was identified earlier last week in Moria, spiraling concerns about the health and safety of the overcrowded Reception Center’s population. According to media reportsⁱ, the 40-year old refugee left Lesvos on 17 July, after being requested to exit the Center, and as per his right to move went to Athens.

In the context of Good Governance that includes transparency and accountability - and aiming at a high quality of our work, ELIX launches a process of receiving, managing and evaluating complaints in order to meet the requirements and expectations of our stakeholders.

This collection of poems was created by children, refugees and migrants, as part of the project "Learning for Integration: Quality learning and non-formal education for refugees and migrants, children and adults, in Greece (LIP)", implemented by ELIX with the support of UNICEF, the International Organization of Migration and the European Commission.
