Matthieu is saying goodbye to ELIX after two months of voluntary service!

He was a short term EVS volunteer sent by our partners Solidarites Jeunesses in France in the framework of the project #ImpactEVS, funded by Erasmus+.

During two months, he participated in different projects including “The learning for Integration Project”, supported by UNICEF and funded by the European Commission (DG ECHO), and the project “Code and Create”, implemented and funded by our partners Finn Church Aid (FCA) in cooperation with Open Technologies Alliance GFOSS.

His main activities in ELIX were:

- Sports classes: Sports classes to migrant and refugee children aged 3 to 5 attending the “Learning for Integration Project”.

- Teaching Computer Classes at a basic level: One to one classes to migrants and refugees on basic computer knowledge: Open Office, internet browsers, email use, etc

- Coordinator of “Web design classes” and “Code and Create Open Lab”: supporting the teachers in the organisation of the classes within the framework of the project “Code and Create”.

- Daily tasks included supervision of the group, attendances, snacks, support and communication with the students the students.

Participation in seminars and sessions organised by ELIX on different topics: volunteering, the refugee situation in Greece, etc.
