I participated in this action as my first υοθτη exchange and volunteer program and it was by far one of the best experiences in my life.
The people I met, the discussions we had, the cultural exchange, the seminars and the volunteer work we did broadened my horizons and taught me things in a funny, innovative and creative way.
I consider now that I have a better grasp of the global issues and a better understanding of the social challenges we face.
During the program I felt that the things I experienced could only be experienced in a situation like this.
After finishing the program and returning home, I feel so passionate to learn more about the refugee situation, to participate in a more energetic way in my community, to share what I saw and learned and of course to participate in more Erasmus+ actions.
I also would like to mention that before going to the program I did not feel that I knew a lot about what was the program about and also I felt that the Greek team did not get together to organize the trip which caused me a feeling of uncertainty and in general a luck of communication between the Greek participants and our leader.
Thankfully everything went well but it would be much more reassuring if the mission was better organized. I specifically mention this as a problem having in mind that most of the young people participating in this kind of projects do not have, most of the times, experience of traveling abroad and need all the guidance offered.
All in all I am really thankful for having the chance to participate in this program and I am grateful to ELIX for providing me with this amazing opportunity.
