Youth Exchange: HUMAN RIGHTS HERE WRITE NOW!

For 9 days 30 people coming from different backgrounds we were gathered for a youth exchange in Le Mans in France.

It was an intense experience as far as human rights is an issue of great importance and with different meanings according to the place you live.

Every country presented the framework and the protection of human rights from their perspective. We discussed a lot, debated, had a lot of activities regarding human rights.

We had the opportunity to participate in a video-making workshop and then be reporters in the centre of Le Mans to explore the situation there. Finally 5 videos were created for the promotion of human rights!

One month has passed and we still keep in touch all together to share our realities. We learned how to cooperate and coexist despite our cultural differences but also how we can promote the significance of human rights.

Having the Palestinian team with us was an unexpected opportunity to learn a lot about their reality and the protection of their rights in their territoty.

We saw videos, danced in the traditional music of every country and shared our traditional foods and drinks. It was a great experience for all of us, we made new friends that will be difficulty forgotten!
