Μέσω της ΕΛΙΞ, μπορείς και εσύ τώρα να δηλώσεις συμμετοχή στο πολύ ενδιαφέρον long term πρόγραμμα του ESC «Multiplying opportunities for volunteers engagement X», στην πανέμορφη Βαρκελώνη στην Ισπανία. Το project διοργανώνεται από την τοπική οργάνωση COCAT! Eάν είσαι από 18 έως 30 ετών και έχεις βασικές γνώσεις Αγγλικών και Ισπανικών, αλλά και την όρεξη για να μάθεις παραπάνω για την ισπανική γλώσσα και κουλτούρα, τότε αυτό το Project είναι για σένα!
Ο/Η εθελοντής/ντρια θα βοηθήσει τον outgoing officer στα καθήκοντα του, ενώ επίσης θα συμμετέχει στην προώθηση και διαφήμιση των προγραμμάτων της Οργάνωσης, που σχετίζονται με το Ευρωπαϊκό Σώμα Αλληλεγγύης. Σε αυτή την εθελοντική υπηρεσία, ο/η εθελοντής/εθελόντρια θα παράγει ενημερωτικό υλικό, θα συμμετέχει σε ενημερωτικές συνεδρίες, θα κάνει update στο site και στα social media της Οργάνωσης, ενώ επίσης θα συμμετέχει και στη συγγραφή και δημοσίευση άρθρων.

“Multiplying opportunities for volunteers engagement X”
COCAT is a platform organization of international workcamps organizations in Catalonia. It gathers Catalanentities that implement activities in the social-educational field. Our main goal is to promote international volunteering,understood as a tool for personal and community development and social transformation. We promote international volunteering mainly in 2 ways:
- Sending Catalan volunteers to the world to do workcamps, mid and long term projects (also ESC), training,youth exchanges, etc.…
- Hosting international volunteers in the work camp projects that our member organizations organize.
We are concerned about inequalities and environmentalissues, that’s why:
- We support youngsters with fewer opportunities so that they can also participate in these kinds of experiences.
- We promote sustainable practices both in the projectsin Catalonia and in the travels our volunteers do for their projects.
This INTERNATIONAL volunteer will support in:
INFORMATION
The first step for a volunteer that wants togo abroad on a work camp is to be well informed, so the first thing the outgoing ESC volunteer will do is going to be relatedto this (picking-up the phone and answeremails giving information to volunteers, informative sessions).
PLACEMENT
The next step is the placement process; Theoutgoing ESC volunteer will support the registration process by using our database and contacting international organizations.
TELEPHONE AND EMAIL SUPPORT
The volunteer will contact other volunteersand organizations (nationals andinternationals), resolving questions and supporting them picking-up the phone andanswering emails.
DOCUMENTATION AND INFOSHEETS
Once the volunteers are accepted in thework camps, we need some documentsfrom them such as medical sheets. We also send them an infosheet around 1 month before starting the project. A big part ofthe outgoing job is to check that we have received and sent all the necessary documents before departure.
PROMOTION AND SOCIAL MEDIA
The volunteer will create all kinds of promotional materials for our socialmedia and website, in order to promotethe international work camps projects.
TRAININGS
COCAT organizes several trainings beforethe volunteer's departure. We expect fromthe ESC volunteer to organize and support this activity with the rest of the team.
EVALUATIONS
At the end of the work camp season is the time for evaluations. The outgoing ESC volunteer will go through the evaluation forms to get to know the experiences of the Catalanvolunteers in the international work camps.
COMMON PARTS OF THE PROJECT:
Informative sessions : volunteers will help and organize theinformative sessions about work camps and long term projects topromote volunteering.
Communication tasks : producing informative material in socialmedia, website management, and participation in informativesessions. The volunteers will update the social networks, andpublish on the COCAT website.
Language courses : according to the initial language level of thevolunteers, they will receive a basic course of Catalan and/orSpanish.
WILL BE POSITIVELY VALUED:
- Having participated in a work camp or in otherinternational youth projects (youth exchanges,training).
- Spanish knowledge.
- Will to learn Catalan and ability for foreign languages.
- Experience, interest in communication and socialmedia.
