Η ΕΛΙΞ σε συνεργασία με την οργάνωση COMPAGNONS BATISSEURS CENTRE VAL DE LOIRE (CBF), έχει εξασφαλίσει για εσάς και σας προτείνει ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον πρόγραμμα ESC (EVS) μικρής διάρκειας, για 1 μήνα, κατά την περίοδο αρχές Ιουλίου – αρχές Αυγούστου, για έναν μήνα στην πόλη Tours της Γαλλίας.
Το πρόγραμμα έχει θέμα την υποστήριξη ατόμων ευπαθών ομάδων μέσα από την βελτίωση των συνθήκων διαμονής τους με εργασίες ανακαίνισης στα διαμερίσματα που διαμένουν.

Hosting Organisation
"Compagnons Bâtisseurs" (CBF) is an NGO founded in 1957. Its aim was to help a population that had been hard hit by the effects of World War II, to reconstruct those homes destroyed during the conflict. From the very beginning up until today, CBF has been putting the principle of solidarity into practice in the form of workcamps, as well as promoting peace and better understanding between people from all over the world.
Project Description:
The volunteer will be working under the supervision of the staff of CBF (administrative and technical mentors) and participate in technical works (e.g. reroofing, insulation, plumbing, electricity works, toilets installation, room recreation…) to improve people’s home. The beneficiaries of the project are people facing social and economic difficulties and challenging situations. The project aims to involve the beneficiaries in the improvement of their living conditions by doing the works in their homes all together.
Although the main purpose of the volunteer placement is the implementing the technical work, the activity has an important social and human aspect that makes the intervention different from a professional one. Furthermore, most of the time the volunteers share the lunch or at least a coffee with the family which provides a valuable time to get to know each other and may create strong links based on trust and sharing.

Accommodation: The volunteer will be accommodated in the CBF volunteers flat with other Long term volunteers in Tour.

Age: 18-30 years old
Practical conditions:
Pocket Money: Participants will be provided with pocket money 6€ per day.
International travel costs: The volunteer will receive a financial contribution to his/her travel costs from Athens to the locations of the projects and back. The maximum refundable amount is 360€ (for distance between 2000-2999 km) including the return trip (in case the travel cost is higher, the volunteer will cover the difference). *(It means that if you have a budget of 360€ and you spend 260€, you will receive all 260€, and in this case will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 400€ with a budget of 360€, we will reimburse you up to 360€.)
Insurance: The volunteer will receive health insurance, third party liability insurance, as well as general accident insurance via the group insurance of the European Commission (free of charge for the volunteer).
Detailed practical information will be given upon selection and preparation in cooperation with your sending organisation ELIX.
