Η ΕΛΙΞ σας προτείνει ένα πολύ ενδιαφέρον πρόγραμμα του Ευρωπαϊκού Σώματος Αλληλεγγύης (ESC) μεγάλης διάρκειας που συντονίζει η πορτογαλική οργάνωση Agora Aveiro - Associação para a Promoção da Cidadania Ativa.
Το πρόγραμμα πρόσφατα βραβεύτηκε ως το καλύτερο της χρονιάς στην Πορτογαλία (the best ESC project of the year in Portugal) και θα ξεκινήσει την 1η Σεπτεμβίου του 2020 για δώδεκα μήνες, στην όμορφη πόλη Aveiro.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
"Learners. Activists. Doers. Superheroes." is an ESC project which has as an objective providing learning opportunities in a big local institution that works tirelessly to respond to the needs of the local community. The service lasts for 12 months and youngsters from the EU can apply. These youngsters will have a chance to actively participate in resolving community problems and in building local community stronger and more inclusive, by volunteering in Social Parochial Centre Vera Cruz, based in Aveiro, Portugal.
On their way to becoming "community super-heroes", they will be involved in different sectors (work with children, elderly people, immigrants...), according to their interests, learning needs, and needs of the receiving institution. Weekly, they will be active 35 hours, including their Portuguese classes. Each week they will have 2 consecutive free days. For each month of their service, they have 2.5 free days.

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
TRAVEL: Travel costs were calculated according to the Erasmus+ distance calculator and cover up to the limit established.
ACCOMMODATION: a single or double room in a house with other young people.
FOOD: will receive a food subsidy
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
In CSP Vera Cruz they are looking for a proactive, responsible, confident and motivated volunteer willing to work primarily with children, and elderly people, and later on possibly with immigrants. In CSP Vera Cruz they are looking for a volunteer who will not be too confused and demotivated by the language barrier and the dynamics of a big unknown institution such as CSP Vera Cruz and is open to new challenges and circumstances. Someone who will be motivated to suggest their own project ideas and eager to learn Portuguese.
PLACEMENT DATES
A total of 52 weeks from the first week of March, for 12 months.
