Η ΕΛΙΞ αποτελεί περήφανο εταίρο σε πρόγραμμα του European Solidarity Corps, το οποίο διοργανώνεται από τον φορέα InformaGiovani και προσφέρει ευκαιρίες και υποστήριξη σε νέους ανθρώπους ηλικίας 6 έως 30 ετών.

Αναζητούμε δύο (2) εθελοντές, ηλικίας 21 έως 30 ετών, που θα υποστηρίζουν την καθημερινή δραστηριότητα στο Κέντρο Νεότητας, με στόχο τη βελτίωση των soft skills τους όσον αφορά τα media, τη μουσική και την εν γένει δημιουργικότητα τους. Οι δραστηριότητες περιλαμβάνουν :

• Υποστήριξη Μουσικών Εργαστηρίων
• Υποστήριξη Εργαστηρίων για ΜΜΕ και παραγωγή οπτικοακουστικού υλικού.
• Εργαστήρια Τέχνης και Θεάτρου

Οι δύο εθελοντές θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να λάβουν μέρος στα εργαστήρια που υλοποιούνται από εκπαιδευτικούς και τοπικούς εθελοντές, σχετικά με ραδιόφωνο, μουσική, ψηφιακές δεξιότητες, σχέδιο, χορό, θέατρο, κινηματογράφο και δημιουργική γραφή. Επιπλέον θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να υποστηρίξουν εκδηλώσεις του Κέντρου, που θα υλοποιηθούν εκτός αυτού.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT

This is a volunteering project funded by the European Solidarity Corps programme, and aims to offer young people the opportunity to undertake a path of personal and professional growth in the field of social volunteering in organisations that have been operating for years in areas of intervention linked to their territory and the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities.

Through the project, therefore, we intend to offer volunteers the possibility of:
acquiring new skills in the field of youth animation and social planning
stimulating active participation in initiatives with a concrete impact on the community, and at the same time developing their sense of belonging to the European community
stimulating creativity and sense of initiative, ability to team-working and self-esteem
strengthening and promoting values such as multiculturalism, respect for diversity and spirit of solidarity
improving their employability and encouraging transition between education and labour market.

The project will represent an added value for the social action of the involved organizations and aims to have a positive impact on local communities, mainly in terms of promoting the learning opportunities offered by European programmes and of stimulating among local young people active citizenship in favour of social inclusion. The project aims at involving young people with fewer opportunities (e.g., unemployed, NEET, young people from disadvantaged social background, or at risk of gender, ethnic discrimination, asylum seekers, young people from rural areas).

The project is coordinated by Associazione InformaGiovani.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
Travel, board and lodging expenses are covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme.
Volunteers will receive a pocke money to be managed autonomously.
Volunteers will be enrolled in the CIGNA insurance system.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- motivation to undertake a volunteer experience abroad
- attitude to team work, open- mindedness and flexibility
- creativity and interest in the specific topics of each activity
- basic knowledge of English or Italian

LEARNING RECOGNITION
All the activities foresee a first short period to introduce volunteers to the new context, and a final period dedicated to the evaluation and elaboration of the acquired competencies. Each volunteers is entitled to receive the YouthPass certificate, created by the European Commission to certify the knowledge and skills acquired in non-formal learning setting.

DISSEMINATION
Each participant will contribute to promoting the volunteering experience:
- by writing blog article on InformaGiovani website
- by crating small videos/photo collection to publish on social media
- by participating in public events organised by InformaGiovani or host/supporting organisation

INVENTARE INSIEME ONLUS
"Inventare Insieme (Onlus)" is a non-profit organisation established in 1990 on the initiative of the volunteers of the Centro TAU. Today the youth centre, located in Zisa, one of the suburb of Palermo, aims to promote social, cultural and educational interactions, and engages socially local young people in the development of creativity and civic participation. Offers opportunities for young people aged 6 to 35 to get involved and participate in structured activities and specific laboratories with the aim of exploring multiple areas through efficient equipment and committed animators who believe that creativity and knowledge sharing are the engines of dialogue.

VOLUNTEERS' ACTIVITIES
Volunteer will support the daily activities of the organisation aimed at the children (6-10 years), teenagers and young adults in the youth centre. These may include:
- to support music laboratories (guitar, drums, piano etc)
- to support media laboratories and producion of audio-visual materials to promote the work done by the association
- to participate in creative workshops (drawing, dancing, theatre, creative writing etc.)
- preparation and support in youth centre events during Christmas, Carnival, Easter time
- to accompany children and kids during activities outside the centre
- promoting ESC volunteering through InformaGiovani blog, social media, promotional events, ESC projects organised by InformaGiovani
Volunteer will use her/his own ideas, creativity and experience to develop his/her own personal project/activity relating to the work of the Receiving Organisation.

VOLUNTEERS' PROFILE
- age between 21 and 30 years
- strong motivation for working with kids
- ability to team working, open-minded, sociable
- ability to play instrument (guitar, drum, piano etc) or ability to produce audio- video material
- creativity and artistic skills (e.g. ddrawing, manipulation, theatre, dance etc) adaptability to different cultural context
- ability to use 3D printer is welcome

SERVICE CONDITIONS
The service will be approximatively 35 hours per week, including language preparation. In some cases, work can be run also during weekends according activities implemented.

Travel costs
Outward and return tickets covered up to Euro 275,00 after providing supporting documents (booking confirmation, boarding passes, local tickets).

Accommodation
Volunteer will be hosted in double-room shared with another volunteer. Flat is equipped with all needed (water, electricity, heating, furniture).
Free wi-fi is available. Accommodation is located not far from the city centre, and well connected with public transportation.

Monthly cash allowance (Euro 5,00 per day)
