Η ΕΛΙΞ προτείνει μια σειρά από συγχρηματοδοτούμενα προγράμματα του Ευρωπαϊκού Σώματος Αλληλεγγύης (ESC) μικρής διάρκειας που συντονίζει η γαλλική οργάνωση Compagnons Bâtisseurs με θεματική "Renovation and social work".
Τα προγράμματα θα έχουν ίδια θεματική μεταξύ τους, ο εθελοντής δηλαδή θα αναλάβει τα συγκεκριμένα τις ίδιες δράσεις σε όποια περιοχή και αν διαλέξει να κάνει αίτηση, αυτό που διαφοροποιείται επομένως είναι τόσο η τοποθεσία υλοποίησης τους όσο και οι ημερομηνίες που τελειώνει το κάθε πρόγραμμα. Τα προγράμματα θα πραγματοποιηθούν σε τέσσερις διαφορετικές πόλεις της Γαλλίας, Bordeaux, Lorient, Rennes, Clermont-Ferrand.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Working with the support of the organisation staff (technical mentors), the volunteers will participate in technical works (painting, insulation, plumbing, electricity works, toilets installation, room creation…) to improve people’s home. The inhabitants are people who are facing social and economic difficult and challenging situations who’s the improvement of their living conditions. There will be a lot of collective workshops as well involving inhabitants and related to DIY. Although the main purpose is the carrying out of the technical work, the activity has therefore an important social and human aspect that makes the intervention different from a professional one. Furthermore, most of the time the volunteers share the lunch (or at least a coffee) with the family which provides a valuable time to get to know each other and may create strong links based on trust and sharing.

Logistiques of the trip
The details about the trip will be determined with the local team (nearest airport and train station, pick-up time).
Accommodation
Depending on the place of volunteering, the short-term volunteer will be hosted in a volunteer’s house with other long-term volunteers of the organization, or in a residence. The short-term volunteer will have his/her own room.

FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
Maximum travel cost: The cost will be determined according to the address which is given by the volunteer.
Volunteer’s allowance: Pocket money is given by the hosting organisation to the volunteer when he/she will arrive: 6€ X number of days of the project (including the travel days) + 285€ for the food costs
