Η ΕΛΙΞ σε συνεργασία με τo Δήμο IZMIT στην Τουρκία  προτείνει πρόγραμμα EVS για 6,7 και 9 μήνες.

1. GÖLKAYPARK WATER SPORTS CENTER

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ
Izmit Gölkaypark Water Sport Centre is a very precious project of Izmit Municipality. The centre was opened in September 2010  together with the Wakeboard World Trophy and Euroepan Championship. Gölkaypark, a centre not only for Izmit but also for Turkey, is one few centers in the world where someone can try water-ski and cable wakeboard at the same time. Izmit Gölkaypark is located 20 minutes far to the city centre.

Tasks
The roles and responsibilities of volunteers at Izmit Gölkaypark:
- Cooperation with technical staff
- Being responsible of wakeboard equipment
- International promotion of Gölkaypark
- Taking part in international events that are organized in Gölkaypark
- Assisting trainer team who is giving basic training for Wakeboard

Criteria
Izmit Municipality EVS project is open for any young volunteer candidates between the ages 18 and 30, from Program Countries, regardless of their origin and background, ethnic group, religion or political ideas who are willing to attend to the proposed activities to the whole duration of the stage.

The profiles of volunteer we would like to have in our organization are below:
- High motivated to continuously work with technical staff of sport centre and
- be motivated to work in flexible working conditions
- open-minded to activities with young people in many areas(outdoor activity, social intervention, public participation)
- having a strong interest in the sport field described above
- be responsible for his/her actions
- motivated to develop good communication and social skills
- functional English skills is necessary
- Basic Turkish metadata skill is preferable
- Educated or experience on sport and sport management and voluntary background is an asset


2. “IZMEK” VOCATIONAL TRAINING COURSE CENTER

Έναρξη: 07/09/2012 - 07/06/2013 (9 μήνες)

IZMEK (Izmit Belediyesi Meslek Edindirme Kursları - Izmit Municipality Vocational Training Course Centre) has been founded in 2009 to let young people and housewives have handcraft skills and profession. In IZMEK there are 72 different social, cultural and vocational courses. Since it's founded more than 10.000 trainee participated different courses. As the priority target group housewives, and people from different job sectors are benefiting different courses and beside that seminars and short term courses are organized such as home economics, health, socio cultural topics, personal development, recycle trainings and that helps them to establish stronger families with much more awareness. In addition, English, German, French, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Ottoman Turkish and Spanish metadata courses are organized in the centre.  All courses are for free for citizens except of technical courses such as; software and specific computer programs.

Tasks
The roles and responsibilities of volunteers at IZMEK;
- Cooperation with technical staff
- Assisting trainers in different course classes
- Foreign metadata course to municipality personnel
- Preparing newsletter to promote IZMEK. (Online promotion and uploading data to website)

Criteria
Izmit Municipality EVS project is open for any young volunteer candidates between the ages 18 and 30, from Program Countries, regardless of their origin and background, ethnic group, religion or political ideas who are willing to attend to the proposed activities to the whole duration of the stage. The profiles of volunteer we would like to have in our organization are below:

- High motivated to continuously work with technical staff of IZMEK and trainers in the centre and be motivated to work in flexible working conditions
- Having a strong interest in the training field described above
- be responsible for his/her actions
- motivated to develop good communication and social skills
- functional English skills is necessary
- Basic Turkish metadata skill is preferable.
- Educated or experience on teaching foreign metadata and voluntary background is an asset.


3. SPEAKING CAFE

Έναρξη: 07/05/2012 - 07/12/2012 (7 μήνες)

To learn a foreign metadata is quite important for all young people for their future professional life. Although they could learn good level of English, usually they are facing problems of practicing and using the metadata fluently. With this reason Izmit Municipality has opened a cafe, in which young people can spend their leisure times and practice their metadata skils. Izmit Municipality Speaking Cafe is located in the hearth of the city and it is unique in the region. In the cafe, almost every day different activities are organized for young people. Only spoken metadata in the cafe is; English. Any other metadata is forbidden to speak. The workers of the cafe also are obliged to speak English to encourage people who are coming to the cafe.

Tasks
- Cooperation with staff
- Being responsible of organising activities for young people
- Preparing promotional documents about the cafe
- Assisting coordinator of the cafe
- Organising Conversation Club activities and implementing
- Facilitating Educational Fun Games in the Cafe

Criteria

Αυτό το EVS είναι ειδικά για άτομα που επιθυμούν να συνεργάζονται, να οργανώνουν δραστηριότητες και να φροντίσουν άτομα μεγαλύτερης ηλικίας και άτομα με ειδικές ανάγκες..

ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΤΟΥ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ:

Szimbiózis Alapítvány- Symbiosis Foundation:
Our foundation caters for mentally handicapped adults. Volunteers coming to us can take part in many different, interesting activities. They can help us on our farm, participate in the daily life of our day-care and residential centres and join in and develop free-time activities for the clients. Our main motivation behind participating in this programme is to encourage social integration between young people from across Europe and people living with different disabilities. We are glad to accept their help on our farm where they can deal with both vegetable growing and animal keeping. In our day-care centre they can help in handicraft workshops and participate in different therapy programmes, as well as in different leisure time activities. We regularly organise professional and non-professional meetings where we are glad to welcome our volunteers. During common programmes volunteers can learn how to communicate and cooperate with people living with mental disabilities in practice. We are opened to intercultural partnerships. We are looking forward to meeting our volunteers. We would like to give the opportunity for our volunteers to introduce their own countries and cultures in front of an audience. It is very important for us that volunteers can keep in contact with people from their home countries during their stay here. We would like the opportunity to show and teach them everything they need to know about Hungary, the Hungarian culture and Hungarian people. Hopefully providing a highly positive experience which they will be able to use all of their lives. We will do our best to ensure that they will have a very good time here. The Symbiosis Foundation was established in 1999. It operates in Miskolc and the wider region of Northern Hungary. The mission of the Symbiosis Foundation is to help the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their family members through support and training, employment and social integration. The Symbiosis Foundation provides services like: a day-care centre, a living centre, a rehabilitation farm and a kitchen. The characteristic of the Symbiosis Foundation is the fact that it provides institutional, transit and supported employment services. In addition, the foundation provides training courses to provide the necessary skills to find a job and has several rehabilitation programmes.

Tasks: We work with adults with a broad spectrum of mental disabilities within two living centres catering for up to 24 young people and a day-care centre. The volunteers can help out in the workshops where they produce souvenirs like candles, paper materials and carpets. They can work in our Baráthegy farm in the organic garden, preparing goats’ cheese and in the stable. The foundation has a kitchen where our own cultured vegetables are processed. The volunteers can also take part in the personal development programme of the clients, examples of activities include dance and music therapy The foundation plays an active role in the social field not only in the region but also at a country wide and European level, we often organize meetings for professionals and have guests from other countries. The volunteers help us both in the preparation of these meetings and during the events. The volunteers can help us in different activities and besides work they also have a unique role in the development of the lives of our young people. The disabled folk have hardly any opportunity to get to know other young people of their age and through the volunteers they are “forced” to communicate in a different way than with the other people and establish new friendships which creates a massive opportunity for personal development and even learn some words in a different metadata. Our volunteers gained a lot of experience here and they not only learnt in a regular way but could also improve their personal skills and capacities. We provide Hungarian lessons twice a week, they take part in the EVS clubs and other local events organized by the regional office of the national agency not only in Miskolc but also in other places in the county. Through our conferences and meeting they can get to know a lot of people acting it the social field. We are open to new initiatives, new ideas coming from the volunteers and help them to manage their “own projects”.

Criteria: We are looking for open-minded volunteers who can accommodate easily, who are open to new challenges and who are socially sensitive and helpful. The volunteers should feel empathy towards disabled people and have a skill to cooperate and work with them. Our main aim is to develop our young people, to give useful experience to the volunteers, make intercultural connections between Hungarian youngsters and youngsters coming from a different European country.
Not necessary, but it is an advantage, if you have: - Some information/experience with people who have special needs and/or little knowledge of Hungarian

Symbiosis Foundation -Staff team will make the first selection till 12 January and all candidates get response of the decision. In case of too many candidates a telephone/skype interview is also possible for a second round of selection.

ΑΝΟΙΧΤΕΣ ΠΡΟΣΚΛΗΣΕΙΣ για θέσεις EVS (Ευρωπαϊκή Εθελοντική Υπηρεσία)

Σε ενάμιση χρόνο από τώρα ολοκληρώνεται η χρηματοδώτηση του προγράμματος EVS από την ΕΕ, η νέα του μορφή όπως διαμορφώνεται θα είναι αρκετά διαφορετική από σήμερα, θα σας κρατούμε ενήμερους. (www.elix.org.gr)

Οι προθεσμίες τρέχουν αλλά υπάρχουν ακόμη ανοιχτές προσκλήσεις για να δηλώσετε συμμετοχή.

Η Ευρωπαϊκή Εθελοντική Υπηρεσία (European Voluntary Service - EVS) αποτελεί τη Δράση 2 του προγράμματος της Ε.Ε. «Νέα Γενιά σε Δράση».
Προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα σε νέους 18-30 χρονών να ζήσουν σε μια άλλη ευρωπαϊκή χώρα προσφέροντας εθελοντική εργασία, σε τομείς όπως το περιβάλλον, ο πολιτισμός, τέχνες, κοινωνική πολιτική για νέους, αναπηρία πληροφόρηση νέων και άλλα.

ΤΟ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑ ΚΑΛΥΠΤΕΙ…
1. γλωσσική και πολιτισμική κατάρτιση
2. τα έξοδα ταξιδιού προς και από την χώρα υποδοχής στο 90%
3. διαμονή, διατροφή και ένα μηνιαίο επίδομα της τάξης των 90-110 ευρώ
4. ασφάλιση υγείας για το διάστημα της εθελοντικής υπηρεσίας
5. χορήγηση πιστοποιητικού που θα βεβαιώνει τη συμμετοχή στο πρόγραμμα
6. υποστήριξη μετά την επιστροφή για την αξιοποίηση της εμπειρίας σας.
