Η Ιαπωνία είναι ένας εξαιρετικός προορισμός, που συνδυάζει όλα όσα μπορεί να φανταστεί και να επιθυμεί ένας εθελοντής.
Η τεράστια παράδοση που έχει η χώρα σε εθελοντικές δράσεις, η φιλοξενία από τους ντόπιους, ο πολιτισμός, η κουζίνα καθώς και το περιβάλλον στο οποίο θα βρεθεί ένας εθελοντής καθιστούν τα προγράμματα αυτά πραγματικά μοναδικά.
Αυτή την εβδομάδα διαλέξαμε 7 προγράμματα εθελοντικής εργασίας στην Ιαπωνία, τα πρώτα 3 είναι μικρής διάρκειας έως 15 ημέρες ενώ τα υπόλοιπα 4 έχουν διάρκεια από 1 έως 3 μήνες.
Short term projects
1) NICE-18-11071 MUROTO (KOCHI), KIDS CULT, 07/11/18 - 17/11/18, 18-99.
The project MUROTO will take place in the lovely seaside city of Muroto, Japan, and will give you the opportunity to help Japanese children to communicate in English. Among various activities, you will support, play and live together with children. In your free time you will have the possibility to visit the Aquarium, the famous “Muroto Unesco Global Geopark”, the Dolphin center, etc. It is a wonderful chance to get to know Japanese culture from the inside and to support local community.
2) NICE-18-VS11231 OZUCHI VS6, MANU AGRI, 23/11/18 - 25/11/18, 18-99
The organization NICE closely cooperates with Shizentaiken Ozuchi Mura, an initiative undertaken by local people to preserve Japanese original landscape. In this very special place where only two people live, there are still ten historical houses and the whole area has been designated as a National Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings. Shizentaiken Ozuchi Mura tries to combat depopulation through young voluntary power. If you join this program you will contribute to this mission, by helping to maintain the forest; organizing an event of cultural exchange for local people and exchanging ideas for improving regional development though workcamps.
3) NICE-18-VS11301, KATSUURA VS2, AGRI, 30/11/18 - 03/12/18, 18-99.
This workcamp has been organized in cooperation with the “Association of Regional Activation” in the village of Katsuura, famous for its oranges production. However, the number of farmers has been decreasing these years and local people need motivated people to give a hand. If you join this agricultural project you will help farmers by performing a variety of tasks.
Midterm projects

4) NICE-LI-TO19-01, TOKUSHIMA1, Midterm workcamp, ENVI CULT, 12/01/19 - 13/04/19, 18-99.
5) NICE-LI-TO19-02, TOKUSHIMA2, Midterm workcamp, ENVI CULT, 16/02/19 - 12/05/19, 18-99.
In the interesting project “Tokushima”, which runs over different periods, you will contribute to the maintenance of a “flowerbed” created by the citizens of Tokushima as a part of a Flower Road Project which started last year in Tokushima city. International volunteers will keep this urban work and will also support a local event.
6) NICE-LI-SH19-01, HINTOKU1, Midterm workcamp, SOCI AGRI, 12/01/19 - 13/04/19, 18-99.
Through your participation in this project you will learn about organic and environmentally sustainable farming. The workcamp has been organized together with the “Kyodo Gakusha Shintoku Farm”, a cooperative community where people from various backgrounds live in five communities in Tokyo, Nagano, and Hokkaido, where they grow animals and vegetables in an ecological and organic way. Volunteers will do agricultural and house work and will take part in local events and short trips to temples and shrines, having many opportunities to learn about local culture.
7) NICE-LI-OY19-01, ODA-YUKIMIRU1, Midterm workcamp, SOCI EDU, 12/01/19 - 11/05/19, 18-99,
In this social project you will support the work of the “Organization of Green and Water” (OGW), established to advocate for the importance of prairies and forests in our ecosystem. In particular, you will empower NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training") youth. While communicating with these young people, you will do various works to maintain and protect forests, living a unique experience of voluntarism and intercultural exchange.
