My name is Katerina Tsomou and i am 19 years old. I am from Greece.

Being a volunteer in the program of Fedasil centre in Belgium for two weeks was the greatest and most unforgettable experience in my life.

It was the first time i participated in such a program and i can honestly admit that it was more encouraging than expected in order to participate more actively in volunteer programs.

With my team we were helping in painting some walls, making activities with refugees and learning the real meaning of community life.

Meeting new people all around the world and sharing your time helping,creating and talking about experiences,each one's culture and beliefs is not just an adequate summer camp. It is a camp in which you can be equiped with knowledge and experiences that cannot be obtained by studies. It is a camp in which you can meet people and create a bond with them under conditions that on your normal life you couldn't imagine.

At least pleased to participate in this whole new world,pleased to help, pleased to meet new people and share.

Definitely the best way to relieve your energy in a creative way,the best solution to give yourself an undeniably good summer ''present''.

Gratitude is a good word for expressing my feelings for this first but certainly not last volunteer camp.
