Η ΕΛΙΞ, εταίρος του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος "Social Media to Activate Youth and Communities 2.0" που φιλοξενεί η οργάνωση Associazione Culturale "Strauss" της Ιταλίας, έχει εξασφαλίσει για εσάς 2 θέσεις για ηλικίες 18+, που επιθυμούν να συμμετέχουν στο σεμινάριο που διοργανώνεται στην πόλη Nicolosi στην Σικελία, από τις 26 Οκτωβρίου έως τις 3 Νοεμβρίου 2017.

Σκοπός του σεμιναρίου είναι η εξοικείωση με την ορθή χρήση των μέσων Κοινωνικής Δικτύωσης και του Δημόσιου λόγου για την μεταφορά ενημέρωσης και μηνυμάτων προς την κοινωνία ως εργαλεία μαζικής ενημέρωσης.

PROJECT SUMMARY
"Social Media to Activate Youth and Communities 2.0" is a training course based on the transfer of skills with non-formal education techniques, in the field of social media. We want to focus on this specific topic since today they have become indispensable for young people and youth organizations of civic society, not only because they are instruments of free promotion of activities and projects, but also because they are the most powerful tools that activate societies for a cause.

The training course will present participants the basics of communication, public speaking, influence, persuasion and rhetoric; how they can be applied to social media, and how messages and values are transmitted to general audience.

Mass sociology and psychology will be considered, along with the analysis of the latest mass movements that made the use of social media extensive, therefore becoming a key to success.

ΟBJECTIVES
- Developing basics and skills in public communication, persuasion and rhetoric, and how these apply to social media;
- Understanding how messages and values are transmitted to general audience;
- Developing youth workers' skills and capacities to support the active participation of young people in local communities through the use of social media tools and methodologies;
- Examining the possibilities of using social media to encourage youth activism;
- Reflecting on non-formal education, its methods and applicability within social networks;
- Developing creative and attractive ways to use social media to encourage youth activism, with particular attention to civic engagement;
- Identifying opportunities for local community involvement in concrete actions;
- Designing and developing action plans for the use of social media in local contexts.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project will be held in Nicolosi, Sicily, from 26th October to 3rd November 2017 (travel days included) and will involve 22 participants from 11 countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Spain).

Each organization will be represented by two participants. The project covers 100% of food and accommodation costs, while the reimbursable amount of the travel expenses is determined according to travel distance (275 euro for distances between 500 and 1999 km).

IMPORTANT: in order to increase the quality both of project activities and logistics, a participation fee of 35 euro per participant is required and will be deducted from the travel reimbursement.

ACCOMMODATION
The project's location is Nicolosi, a charming town at the foot of the Etna Volcano. The Biancaneve Hotel is surrounded by picturesque pine trees and was built in classic Mediterranean style, in full compliance with the Natural Park. Completely renovated, it offers a wide range of services. It has a comfortable meeting room, breakfast room and bar. There are rooms with air conditioning, private bathroom, and free WI-FI. We will give you an access password on the first day of the seminar. Apart from some rooms, the whole structure is at the participants disposal. Please note that, in order to encourage integration, participants of the same nationality will be divided in different rooms. The division will be by gender. Beds are provided with sheets, while the bathrooms are equipped with towels.

MEALS
All meals will be served at the Biancaneve Hotel's restaurant.
Breakfast will be served as a buffet. It includes coffee, tea milk, biscuits, cereals, yogurt, fruit, jams, croissants etc. In Italy, breakfast is generally on the light side. It is very sweet oriented and it offers salty foods too.
Lunch will be served in Biancaneve Hotel with a wide range of traditional Sicilian/Italian food. Meals will always include mixed vegetables, salads, bread and fruit.
If you are on a special diet, due to health problems or have special needs (gluten free, no pork etc.) please feel free to let us know in advance through the application form. We will inform the restaurant accordingly, in order to prepare a special menu. Non-alcoholic drinks will be served during lunch.
Dinner will be served at the Biancaneve Hotel and it will have the same characteristics as
lunch.

Οικονομικά Στοιχεία

Το κόστος των μετακινήσεων για κάθε συμμετέχοντα στο πρόγραμμα αυτό επιδοτείται μέχρι του ποσού των 275€(*), σύμφωνα με τους όρους και τους κανόνες του Erasmus+. Οι συμμετέχοντες λαμβάνουν την επιδότηση αυτή μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…).

(*: Επεξήγηση: αν λοιπόν το συνολικό κόστος των εισιτηρίων σου, αεροπορικά, μετρό, λεωφορεία, κλπ (όχι ΤΑΞΙ) φτάσει τα 255€ τότε θα λάβεις 255€ άρα θα επιδοτηθεί το 100% του κόστους των μετακινήσεων σου. Αν το συνολικό κόστος φτάσει τα 300€ τότε θα λάβεις το μέγιστο της επιδότησης τα 275€.)

Η διαμονή και η διατροφή των συμμετεχόντων καλύπτονται πλήρως από το πρόγραμμα.

Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι 65€.
