Η ΕΛΙΞ είναι εταίρος του προγράμματος “Impulse your Green Power” διάρκειας 10 ημερών, που συντονίζεται από την γαλλική οργάνωση Concordia και υποστηρίζεται από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ με στόχο την προώθηση, κατανόησης καθώς και τη συνειδητοποίηση της νεολαίας και των πληθυσμών των περιβαλλοντικών θεμάτων. Αναζητούμε 4 συμμετέχοντες ηλικίας 18 έως 30 ετών και έναν/μια (1) αρχηγό προκειμένου να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα από τις 22 Νοεμβρίου έως τις 3 Δεκεμβρίου 2020 στην πόλη Λε Μαν της Γαλλίας.
Όλοι γνωρίζουμε πως ο πλανήτης θερμαίνεται αναπόφευκτα και συνεχώς. H Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση υιοθέτησε μια συμφωνία-πλαίσιο η οποία θέτει τους εξής στόχους για το 2030: Μείωση των αερίων του θερμοκηπίου κατά τουλάχιστον 40%, αύξηση του μεριδίου των ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας σε τουλάχιστον 32%, βελτίωση της ενεργειακής απόδοσης σε τουλάχιστον 32,5%. Οι στόχοι είναι φιλόδοξοι αλλά ουσιαστικοί, είναι η πολιτική έκφραση ενός γενικού κινήματος προς ευαισθητοποίηση για την κλιματική αλλαγή. Ο αντίκτυπος της αλλαγής του κλίματος έχει υποτιμηθεί εδώ και πολύ καιρό, αλλά η φύση και η έκταση της κλιματικής αλλαγής το έχουν καταστήσει μείζον μέλημα.
Η Γαλλική οργάνωση Concordia συντονίζει το παρόν πρόγραμμα σε συνεργασία με ELIX (Ελλάδα); DE AMICITIA (Ισπανία); ACTIVE YOUTH (Λιθουανία); UNION FORUM (Ουκρανία).
H/O αρχηγός/επικεφαλής για την συγκεκριμένη ανταλλαγή νέων θα πρέπει να μπορεί να συμμετέχει στην προπαρασκευαστική συνάντηση (APV - Advance Planning Visit), που θα πραγματοποιηθεί διαδικτυακά 24 – 25 Οκτώβριου 2020.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
We all know it: the planet is warming inexorably and continuously. In order to keep the rise in temperature below 2°C, the European Union has just adopted a framework agreement which sets the following objectives for 2030:
- To reduce greenhouse gases by at least 40%;
- Increase the share of renewable energy to at least 32%;
- Improve energy efficiency to at least 32.5%.
In 2017, the share of renewable energy consumed in the European Union was 17.5%. This is close to the 20% target set for the year 2020. However, the situation varies greatly from one country to another.
These targets, ambitious but essential, are the political expression of a general movement to raise awareness of climate change. Our impact on the climate has long been underestimated, but the nature and extent of climate change has made it a major concern. Since the Rio agreement in 1992, civil society has consistently stressed the urgency of the situation. It was not until two decades later that the Paris Agreement, at COP 21 in 2015, saw most nations commit to reducing greenhouse gases. It is a political agreement, which has yet to be translated into concrete action.
The delegation of Concordia Normandie Maine decided to organize an exchange of young people on the climate cause because it is a subject at the heart of its concerns since 2010. In particular, this has resulted in membership of a green energy supplier, Enercoop.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The main objectives of the project are:
- To enable young people to exchange in another language, to learn in contact with another culture;
- To enable young people to improve their self-confidence through inclusion in a group and the conduct of activities;
- To improve young people's knowledge of renewable energies and energy transition;
- To learn how to create an awareness raising activity;
- To experiment the animation created to be a vector of awareness raising on the energy transition upon return to the country of origin.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
The youth exchange will take place in 3 phases:
- Getting to know each other and exchanging;
- Discover renewable energies on site;
- Become a player in raising environmental awareness.
1. Get to know each other and exchange ideas
One day at the beginning of the exchange will be devoted to inter-knowledge. Memory and interaction games will allow the young people to get to know each other better.
The different energy sources will then be detailed based on what the young people know. The advantages and disadvantages of each will be examined. Group work will be organized with the aim of creating a poster for each country. These will be presented to the whole group and will be used for discussion.
2. Discover renewable energies on site
The city of Le Mans and the department of Sarthe offer a range of possibilities for visits related to renewable energies. The visits will be based on themes such as:
- Water: the Maison de l'Eau houses an exhibition on water, wind power and solar energy;
- The Wind: a wind farm in Sarthe will be visited;
- The Sun: schools and car parks in the city of Le Mans are equipped with solar panels;
- Energy: Energy Info Space is a reception and advice service on the energy transition, a visit in a farm heated by wood energy will be organized;
The visits will be rich and varied. They can be targeted according to the desires of you. The expectations of each person will be collected through a questionnaire beforehand.
3. Become a player in raising environmental awareness
A workshop on the design of awareness-raising actions will be organized. It will detail pedagogical methods and animation tools. In a second step, the participants in groups will choose a theme and will be in charge of creating awareness. Each group will play its animation in front of the others, in order to get their advice and gain confidence. The aim is also for each young person to animate this sequence in his or her sending organization, in his or her city, on his or her return. A book of animations on the energy transition will be made up of the project sheets for each animation and the photos taken during the role-plays. This toolkit will be given to each participant and to all partner organizations.
LOCATION
Le Mans (143000 inhabitants) is located in the West of France. It is the administrative center of the Sarthe department, in the Pays de La Loire region (50 min from Paris).
You will have time to discover the city. Le Mans is a beautiful art and historical city; it is the third one of the Pays de la Loire region when it comes to culture and tourism. The old city center is surrounded by Roman walls and the most recent renovation works organized to preserve the oldest parts of Le Mans have helped to enhance its local heritage. Two rivers cross the city which has been named one of France greenest cities. There we can find various parks and gardens, in addition to the two big forests bordering the city.
METHODOLOGY
The methodology (non-formal education, storytelling, discussions) and the structure of the exchange will encourage an active involvement of each participant in order to develop skills and new tools for a personal and social development. Non-formal education tools will be used to create a friendly and attentive atmosphere, considering each participant in his or her diversity, personality and culture, so that each person can feel free to express him(her)self, share his or her experiences, teach and learn from the others. Expression workshops will permit to the youngsters to discover new ways of expression, encouraging their creativity and ability to create collectively, and to gain in self-confidence.
PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS
Participants can be between 18 and 30 years of age. Having environmental mind is not a requirement. The only thing that counts is the motivation to want to know more about renewable energies and to work to change mentalities by raising awareness.
Group size: 26 participants (4 participants + 1 leader per country) from Erasmus+ programme countries and partner countries.
HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS related to COVID-19 situation
Despite the health crisis experienced on a global scale, CONCORDIA has chosen to maintain its activities, because we feel it is essential to continue to promote our values of solidarity and to maintain the social link which is more essential than ever during this period of confinement and remoteness that we have experienced and that we are still living. This leads us to adapt the hosting framework on the international projects and more generally on all the collective activities that we are led to organize. Their success will be based on the active participation of each person in all living, activities and sessions times as well as on the respect of sanitary measures.
We hope to be able to organize this training in November/December, but it is possible that we may have to postpone it to the beginning of 2021, depending on the second wave of COVID 19 spread. Concerning the sanitary measures to be put in place on the project, we will keep you informed according to the evolution of the sanitary situation.
We can already tell you that masks have been obligatory in the City of Le Mans, both indoors and outdoors, since the end of August. This does not prevent us from continuing our work and meeting the partners.
Concordia Normandie-Maine has organized collective workcamps in August and is fully capable of organizing collective projects in the autumn respecting both the sanitary protocol and the well-being of the participants.

ACCOMODATION AND LOCATION
The accommodation will be in a Group Accommodation Center, in the city of Le Mans.
It is situated not far from our office, a large forest and a lake.
From here, you can reach the city center in 25 minutes by tramway.
You will be in room or dormitory. The number of persons per room will be in accordance with the health protocol. Bed sheets and blankets are provided, but bring your own towel and toiletries.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be taken in the accommodation place, in a collective restauration centre. The Training sessions will take place in a training room in the same center.
100% lodging and food are covered by the Erasmus+ programme.

Travel will be by public transport or mini-bus depending on the places to be visited.
The group of young people will be accommodated in a collective lodging near Le Mans. An organization discussed at the beginning of the stay will allow the organization of the common life, in particular the preparation of meals and housework. Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα χαρτιά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Σύμφωνα με τους νέους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+ και σύμφωνα με την χιλιομετρική απόσταση το ποσό επιστροφής είναι μέχρι 360€(*) για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.
*(It means that if you have a budget of 360€ and you spend 200€, you will receive all 200€, and in this case it will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 400€ with a budget of 360€, we will reimburse you up to 360€.)
Travel costs will be covered based on the unit costs of the program. Please note that participants will be reimbursed the real costs of their transport fees up to a certain limit as per information below. Please do not buy travel tickets until your participation has been approved by Concordia. All the travel costs will be reimbursed the earliest 3 months after the end of the youth exchange.
