Η ΕΛΙΞ, εταίρος του συγχρηματοδοτούμενου προγράμματος για νέους με θέμα “Melting Potes - Gender” διάρκειας 23 ημερών, έχει εξασφαλίσει για εσάς και αναζητά 4 νέους και ένα αρχηγό ηλικίας 18 – 30 που ενδιαφέρονται να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα ανταλλαγής νέων που θα πραγματοποιηθεί από την 1 έως τις 23 Αυγούστου 2016 στο Saint Savinien, στο Hameau de Vaunieres της Γαλλία (1 ώρα νότια της Grenoble).

Το Πρόγραμμα Ανταλλαγής Νέων: "Melting Potes - Gender" είναι ένα πρόγραμμα ανταλλαγής νέων - στο πλαίσιο του Erasmus+, το οποίο θα λάβει χώρα στην πόλη Hameau de Vaunieres της Γαλλίας, από τις 1/8/2016 - 23/8/2016. Στο πρόγραμμα θα συμμετάσχουν 20 νέοι από 18 έως 30 ετών.

Project description: What is it?
20 participants from Greece, FYR of Macedonia, Spain and France (5 by country) will meet for a Youth exchange about gender and sexualities.

In Europe and in the world in general, there are still sexual stereotypes, homophobia is also usual for a lot of people and gender inequalities continue to exist. A lot of people are suffering (discrimination, violence) because of their gender, sexual orientation, because they aren’t in the norm…

Thus, during 3 weeks, the participants of Melting Potes will exchange about their vision of gender, what is meaning for them (in function of their personal story and cultural background).

Together we will try to understand what is “gender”, why there are still stereotypes and inequalities, what is it to be a woman/ a man (in our societies), speak about our bodies, about sexualities, try to overcome our own stereotypes, try to open our mind, be more tolerant... We will think about how fight against discrimination and propose a “tool box” in link with this theme.

Our goal will be to aware other people from the village, the valley, countries of participants, about gender (sexism, homophobia, feminism, inequalities, etc.).

How we will do that?
1) We will talk together, exchange about this topic with some tools of non formal education: brainstorming, world-café, photo-language, expressions games, etc.
We will meet people involved in “gender”, involved in fight against discrimination and sexism. We will create link with associations and people.
Basically, the first week will be a week of meeting together, understand the topic, create our own opinion and think collectively.

2) Our goal is to aware ourselves but also other people out of the Youth Exchange. After we understood better the topic, we will start to imagine and create some workshop to share our thinking with other people. And we will lead those workshops during the final event 20th of August: in front of families, children, groups of adults…

You will build together your workshop. We will have some training before to understand what is a workshop, how to build it, what are the goal of a workshop, how to overcome the language barrier, how to lead it, etc.
Also, we will create a tool box together to aware people from your city when you’ll be back in your country. This project shouldn’t stay in France, we should open it!

3) Festival Melting Potes, the final event.
20th of august we will organize the festival Melting Potes which is a festival to open our thinking to other people from the area, to propose a cultural event and to close the summer. It will be family, festive, and happy!
Associative village, workshop, world games, conferences, debates, concerts and world food.
Our role will be to aware people about gender.

We will:
- lead some workshops
- exhibited our productions
- help to organize the festival (hosting artist, prepare the village, decorate it, prepare international meal...)

Where will take place this project?
The project will take place in a little hamlet in heart of Alps Mountains, in France.

It’s in an extreme rural area, far away of shopping (35 km) but in an extraordinary natural area!
This hamlet named Vaunières and it’s an association “Les villages des jeunes” who is the owner of it.

The Association “Les villages des jeunes” was born from the double will to revive abandoned places in rural areas and to allow people from different social and cultural backgrounds to come together around a useful action.

Established in 1964, the association became regional delegation of the national movement Solidarités Jeunesses in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA). It is a popular educational association recognized social utility.

Are living in the village: 7 volunteers from Europe, USA and France, 5 people from the staff and young people with less opportunities who are here for short time or long time. During the week there is also an including team which is working 4 day per week.

All together, we are renovating and taking care about the hamlet, we are hosting groups which are joining us during the workshops, sharing meals with us and collective life.

Our tools are: workshop and collective life. Everybody is participating for everything: cleaning, cooking, feeding chicken, gardening, renovating, etc.
During the Youth Exchange, we will host also in the same times in our village: groups, international work camp, families, hikers… It will be a real bath of interculturality!
So as you understood, Vaunières is a participative place and during the Youth Exchange, the participants will be members of the village and help also for cleaning task.
It will be an intensive experience of living together with a strong cultural and social diversity.

You will sleep under tents, you will share it with one or two persons. The meals will be prepared by our cooker.
Vaunieres is providing tent, ground carpet. You have to bring a good sleeping bag, a pillow.

Who can apply?
Every people between 18-30 years old from France, Greece, FYR of Macedonia and Spain, interested by the topic “gender” and by intercultural experience.

People aware about:
- Youth exchange is NOT a Touristic trip. We will have some trips out of the village to discover the area but is NOT the goal of this project.
- The participative aspect of Vaunières. It is NOT an hostel, everybody is helping for everything, it’s also like that we can meet people .
- Ready to be 100% involved during 3 weeks (don’t worry we have some rest also).
- Able to sleep under tent.

The languages will be English (and some French).

The Erasmus + project is supporting you for the fees.
For Spanish, Greek and FYR of Macedonian participants: the European Union is reimbursing maximum 170€ for the transportation (go and back), for the food and accommodation everything is taking in charge by Erasmus+.
For French people, the reimbursement is 80€ maximum.

Who will lead this exchange?
*Asia and Sungyeon, two volunteers of Vaunières.
*Benjamin and Laura, two permanents staff of Vaunières. .
*In each group of nationality, it will be a leader, who will help for leading, organizing the project.

What do you have to prepare before to join the Youth Exchange ?
Before arriving, prepare some “documents” or make some researches about the topic. Here, some questions you can ask to you (examples):
- How are relations between men and women in my country? Is there some discrimination, inequalities?
- What is the level of tolerance of my country if I am homosexual, if I have sexual relations with out to be married, etc.?
- Policies about gender, sexism, homophobia (in my country, in Europe)
- Is there some associations working to help, support people victims of discriminations, inequalities because of their sex?
- Interculturality in my country, my city
- Etc.

You can bring also movies, pictures, documents in link with this thema. And also typical food, music, about your country!
If each participant is a bit aware about the topic before to arrive, our exchange will be more reach and interesting.

Οικονομικά στοιχεία:
Η διαμονή και η διατροφή καλύπτονται πλήρως από τους διοργανωτές.

Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Σύμφωνα με τους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+, το μέγιστο ποσό που καλύπτεται για τα μεταφορικά είναι μέχρι 170€(*) για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.
*(It means that if you have a budget of 170€ and you spend 150€, you will receive all 150€, and in this case will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 230€ with a budget of 170€, we will reimburse you up to 170€.)

Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι 50€.

ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ!!! Ο αρχηγός της αποστολής θα πρέπει να μπορεί να συμμετέχει και στην προπαρασκευαστική συνάντηση που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην Γαλλία από τις 28 Ιουνίου έως τις 01 Ιουλίου. Για το ταξίδι αυτό τα έξοδα μετακίνησης του καλύπτονται έως τα 170€ καθώς και η διαμονή και διατροφή του.
