Η ΕΛΙΞ, εταίρος του προγράμματος ανταλλαγής νέων με τίτλο "MnM’s: Media and Migration", που διοργανώνεται από την οργάνωση JAVVA του Βελγίου, αναζητά 4 συμμετέχοντες ηλικίας 18 έως 30 ετών και έναν/μια αρχηγό ηλικίας 18+ προκειμένου να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα που θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 18 έως τις 26 Αυγούστου 2019 στις Βρυξέλλες.
Αυτή η ανταλλαγή νέων έχει σχεδιαστεί για τους νέους που επιθυμούν να μάθουν και να μοιραστούν ιδέες για τη μετανάστευση, καθώς και να συζητήσουν για το ρόλο των μέσων ενημέρωσης στην αντίληψη του καθενός για το θέμα αυτό.
Στο πρόγραμμα, που συγχρηματοδοτείται από το Erasmus+, θα συμμετέχουν 20 νέοι και νέες από Σερβία, Φινλανδία, Βέλγιο και Ελλάδα. H/O αρχηγός/επικεφαλής για την συγκεκριμένη ανταλλαγή νέων θα πρέπει να μπορεί να συμμετέχει στην προπαρασκευαστική συνάντηση (APV - Advanced Planning Visit), που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Βέλγιο από τις 3 έως 6 Ιουλίου 2019.

Background of the project
Nowadays, more than ever, Europe is facing a real challenge triggered by the migration situation inside and outside its borders. Media talk about ‘crisis’, far right-wing parties are gaining ground and social networks are a new door to any kind of propaganda.
In such a context, citizens are inundated by (dis)information. How to develop critical thinking? How to get a better understanding of migration? How to fight against discrimination towards migrants and refugees?
This Youth Exchange is designed for youngsters willing to learn and share about migration as well as to question the role of media in everyone’s perception of the topic. Active participation in group sharing, media/video workshops, institution encounters, and volunteering with migrants will be the key to become an ambassador of tolerance and solidarity towards migrants in everyone’s local environment.
This project, created by a group of JAVVA’s volunteers, came out after they took part in an exchange organized by Concordia, with the purpose of allowing other young people to also benefit from such an experience and become actors of change.
Objectives of the project:
- Giving the key to better understand the migration situation in Europe and at its borders, as well as migrants’ situation
- Sharing about the realities of different European countries and bringing an intercultural perspective on migration
- Developing critical thinking skills, especially about media
- Creating a video on the topic of migration
- Creating more links between young Europeans
- Experimenting volunteering and active citizenship
- Becoming ambassadors of tolerance and solidarity towards migrants
Training results
At the end of the project, participants will have a better understanding of the European migration situation and will have tools to promote initiatives in favor of migrants.
Production of a video to inform their peers in their countries about their experience and the situation of migration in Europe.
Methodology
This youth exchange will be based on workshops with professionals, moments of creation of media, and non-formal education activities.
- Workshops on media and video creation
- Meetings with institutions and associations directly related to migration, as well as with persons with migrant background (refugees, migrants, asylum seekers)
- Participation in voluntary projects aimed at helping migrants
- Debates and speaking out during the interventions of associations/institutions
- Sharing of experiences between participants
- Non formal education activities, such as roleplays, raising awareness activities, ...
Profile of the participants
Young European citizens aged 18 - 30 and interested in migration and in the role of the medias in this topic. Efforts will be done in order to integrate one young refugee per group, as well as youngsters with fewer opportunities from neighborhoods affected by migration.
Οικονομικά στοιχεία:
Η διαμονή και η διατροφή καλύπτονται πλήρως από τους διοργανωτές.
Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ.…). Σύμφωνα με τους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+, το μέγιστο ποσό που καλύπτεται για τα μεταφορικά είναι μέχρι 275€(*) για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.
*(It means that if you have a budget of 275€ and you spend 200€, you will receive all 200€, and in this case will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 300€ with a budget of 275€, we will reimburse you up to 275€.)
Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι 50€.
