Έτσι αυτή την εβδομάδα διαλέξαμε για εσάς 10 προγράμματα εθελοντισμού στην Γερμανία, μαζί με εκμάθηση της γλώσσας, που ξεκινούν από τον Μάρτιο και μετά, όσες και όσοι κάνετε σχέδια δείτε μερικές από τις προτάσεις μας.
Γερμανία
1) IBG 01, OPEN-AIR THEATRE HEIDENHEIM, CONS MANU CULT, 04/04/20 - 18/04/20, 18-99.
This amazing cultural project is perfect for anyone who is interested in theatres and wants to have a look behind the scenes! Your host will be the Open-Air Theatre Heidenheim, the 2nd largest one of its kind in Southern Germany. Situated on the “castle hill” of the town, surrounded by forests, it can accommodate 1100 spectators. The Open-Air Theatre is run by a non-profit association and they are excited to meet international volunteers! If you take part in the project, you will help with the stage design construction! With the help of a work instructor, you will screw, nail, and paint. You will be in Heidenheim an der Brenz, a lovely town only 30 km away from Ulm.
2) IBG 02, WILD WOOD PASTURE KAPPEL-GRAFENHAUSEN, ENVI MANU, 05/04/20 - 18/04/20, 18-99.
This workcamp is great for anyone interested in nature preservation and biodiversity, because volunteers will support a biodiversity preservation project aimed at returning to a historic use of land given up in the 18th century. Volunteers will help with the continuous transformation of the forest into a light wood pasture. You will be in Kappel-Grafenhausen, a town situated right at the border with France, next to the Rhine river and the nature park with a beautiful landscape. You will be very close to the Black Forest, perfect for hiking trips, and you will have the chance to do sightseeing in your free time, for example by visiting Freiburg.
3) IBG 03, BLACK FOREST VILLAGE GRAFENHAUSEN, ENVI MANU, 19/04/20 - 03/05/20, 18-99.
Are you prepared for two calming weeks in the Black Forest, far away from big city life? If your answer is yes, have a look at this project, where you will be in Grafenhausen, a beautiful village in the Black Forest. Here you will help to restore parts of the forest that were damaged by a plague of bark beetles. The area which surrounds Grafenhausen is perfect for hiking trips: there are lakes close-by and it is not even half an hour by car to the Feldberg, the highest German mountain outside of the Alps. Furthermore, the famous beer "Tannenzaepfle" is brewed in Grafenhausen and you might be able to visit the brewery. Freiburg, a university city with lots of students, and Lake Constance, are well connected, so you might decide to visit them.
4) IBG 04, HIKING LINK AACH, ENVI MANU, 04/05/20 - 18/05/20, 18-99.
If you look for a project which will give you the opportunity to answer local needs and to live an intense exchange with locals, Aach is definitively the right place to be! Here you will help to link two hiking paths, under the supervision of several experienced local volunteers. The village offers several pubs but no shops, friendly people and a beautiful landscape. Situated in a deep valley, its different houses climb up the steep hills. You can go hiking, make barbecues, discover nature, and have different activities together with locals (e.g.an international cooking event or a training session together with the local voluntary fire-brigade). The number of excursions will be limited due to the poor local transport, but for sure you will visit Trier, the oldest German city with many Roman sights, a famous cathedral, and many clubs and events.
5) IBG 05, CASTLE FESTIVAL GRIMBURG, RENO FEST, 18/05/20 - 27/05/20, 18-30.
Enjoy living in the Grimburg Castle, support the maintenance of its grounds, and help to organize a small festival! In this project there will be indeed two parts of work. The first one will be the maintenance of the castle’s grounds, by doing various works, such as cutting bushes and grass, protecting the masonry, maintaining the historic mediaeval herb garden, and do some cleaning work in the castle’s and witches museum. The second group of activities in which you will take part regards the support for the castle’s festival which will take place on May 21st: you will be involved in the local team of volunteers; support in the preparation and organization of the castle’s festival; help to set up the festival; and sell food and drinks, among other activities. You will become part of the local festival team and of course celebrate with them! Although the castle is immersed in nature and is isolated, you will also meet local people and share time with them or make an excursion to Trier, the oldest German city. There you will find many historical sites from the Roman period, many clubs and events.

Language workcamps are special projects designed to provide volunteers with the opportunity to combine voluntary work with language learning and classes. The following projects are located very close to the beautiful city of Marburg, a historical and picturesque old university town. There, volunteers will be only speaking German. For this reason, these workcamps have been thought for learners who are not absolute beginners, since the minimum level required to participate is A2. Both projects will give you the chance to attend lectures and participate in conversations focused on German and European history and culture, as well as on cultural diversity.
In the workcamp called “MARBURG STADTWALD” the host organization is the municipality of Marburg and volunteers will do manual work to prepare a youth-holiday-camp located 5 km far away from the city centre, but well connected to it.
10) PRO-A11, MARBURG MARBACH, Marburg, ENVI LANG, 29/03/20 20 - 10/04/2020, 18-26, extra fee 160 euro.
The workcamp “MARBURG MARBACH” is environmental and is implemented in cooperation with the organization “Nature Friends”, which is also the hosting organization. In this lovely project, participants will do various manual and environmental work to prepare the area around the house of “Nature-Friends”.
