Όπως κάθε χρόνο έτσι και φέτος, η ΕΛΙΞ και οι εταίροι της στο διεθνές δίκτυο "Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations" ανακοινώνουν τα καινούργια Θερινά Προγράμματα Εθελοντικής Εργασίας, τα οποία έχουν προκύψει από την ευρεία συνεργασία και την ανταλλαγή πληροφοριών. Μέσα από τη μηχανή αναζήτησης της Οργάνωσης, μπορείτε να βρείτε το workcamp που σας συναρπάζει και σας ταιριάζει, ανάλογα με την ηλικία, τα ενδιαφέροντα και τη διαθεσιμότητα σας!
Παρακάτω παρατίθενται κάποια από τα πιο δημοφιλή προγράμματα εθελοντικής εργασίας, τα οποία θα πραγματοποιηθούν σε χώρες της Κεντρικής και Νότιας Ευρώπης. Projects’ description:
1) GERMANY - IJGD 03207 - CLIMATE PROTECTION IN THE MOOR - ENVI/MANU/EDU - 02/09/23 - 16/09/23 - Age 16-26
Do you want to actively contribute to the climate and renaturation of a moor? Then you can get active on a small area, in a nature reserve near Gifhorn. Peatlands not only play an important role in storing CO2, they also store water and have a cooling effect on the surrounding landscape. You will work on an area near Gifhorn, which is part of a nature reserve. Make your contribution to climate protection and help to preserve valuable habitats and rare species.
2) GERMANY - IBG 24 - MUSIC FESTIVAL STUTTGART - MANU/FEST - 31/08/23 - 09/09/23 - Age 18-26
In summer, Stuttgart hosts a variety of music festivals and events. One of those festivals, called Umsonst & Draußen, will take place in the middle of Vaihingen, an outer city student- district of Stuttgart. Since 2013, the festival has been hosting workcamps and the international volunteers have become an important part in the festival organisation. By helping to organize this communal festival, you are contributing to a sustainable and inclusive community!
3) FRANCE - CONCF-3307 - A HIKE TO THE FOREST HOUSE - ENVI/CONS - 04/09/23 - 22/09/23 - Age 18-99
Nature lovers, this workcamp is for you. With this new partnership with the commune of Saint-Jory-de-Chalais, which has an important natural and historical heritage, the Concordia workcamp will aim to rehabilitate the forest house, which could thus welcome the public as well as the hikers who walk the many paths in the surroundings. The forest house is in need of a little renewal, so you will remove the ivy that has spread, work on the frame, but also weed all around the house to facilitate the access.
4) FRANCE - ANEC09 - GREENING AURILLAC S SHARED GARDENS - ENVI/MANU/ART - 13/07/23 - 28/07/23 - Age 14-17
The work will be focused on embelishing the shared gardens of Aurillac! The shared gardens are imagined to be a place of biodiversity, ideal for local inhabitants to meet. Various tasks are waiting for you in the gardens, such as :
- creation of a shared compost
- development of a piece of land to encourage biodiversity
- creation of bird boxes and insect hotels, etc.
5) PORTUGAL - PT-IPJ 12.4 - CRIARTE II - RENO/MANU/ART - 20/08/23 - 31/08/23 - Age 18-30
Promote mobility and exchange through craft activities related to the Municipality of Salvaterra de Magos. Criarte will have two fundamental components that give rise to two paths to the same end :
- Restoration (return the original luster and qualities of the piece of furniture)
- Recovery (recover the furniture, transforming its appearance and structure)
6) SPAIN - CAT07 - INTERNATIONAL WORK CAMP OF GAIA - ENVI - 19/07/23 - 02/08/23 - Age 18-29
The environmental association La Sinnia was born in 1997 with the main purpose of offering services and activities related to promoting conservation and restoration knowledge about natural, cultural and historical heritage of the Baix Gaiα territory. This work camp will consist of maintaining, restoring and conserving the environment of the Gaia River. Specifically, the volunteers will carry out different tasks like : 1. Improvement of forest habitats, 2. Improvement of Altafulla lock, 3. Elimination of invasive exotic species etc. The stay will take place in the facilities of the public school "La Portalada" (Altafulla, Tarragona). These space will accommodate and adapt to the volunteers needs, and the school will provide the space for the preparation meals, and the organization will provide the necessary equipment.
7) SPAIN - SVIAR03-23 - PILGRIMS TRAIN - RENO - 30/07/23 - 13/08/23 - Age 18-30
Sargantana Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and training young people in their free time. Over 400 national and international projects have been completed by Sargantana, including environmental education, socio-cultural animation, youth employment programs, non-formal training, and heritage preservation. The tasks to be carried out during the next work camps in summer 2023 will focus on improving the maintenance of two train cars, finishing the primer phase, as well as painting, since no workings were carried out for about two summers. In addition, doors and exterior windows enclosing will be made
8) SPAIN - ESDA-1323 - VILLA LAKE III - RENO/CONS - 01/08/23 - 14/08/23 - Age 18-40
The aim of this workcamp is recuperation of a mountain village (Aldea de Erbedeira) which has been not taken care for many years, due to the immigration of the habitants. The task will be mostly cleaning and renovation of the walking paths and hiking routes around the town and also the restoration of the town, its gardens and streets using carpentry, painting and gardening. Οne or two of these tasks will be organised in each camp and the volunteers will help to recuperate the town. The working town and the town of the accommodation will not be the same so the volunteers will be transferred to the work place by car, on a daily basis.
9) ITALY - LEG06 - THE WORKCAMP VESUVIO NATIONAL PARK-OTTAVIANO-NAPLE - ENVI/MANU - 26/08/23 - 09/09-23 - Age 18-99
The Environment and Legacy Observatory of the Vesuvius National ParkIn 2006.
The National Park Authority of Vesuvius decided to start experimentally the preliminary activities of establishing a real Observatory. Since September 2009, following agreement with the Park Authority, Legambiente Mimmo Beneventano manages a property confiscated to the Camorra, transformed into the Environment and Legality Observatory of the Park. The main actions taken by the observatory are as such:
1)Realization of the Memory Park and social gardens. Planting trees in memory of victims of crime and managing gardens with Horticultural species.
2)Creation of vegetable gardens and preparation of didactic forest reforestation in the castle confiscated from the mafia
3)Ideation and realization of outdoor events, conventions and gatherings, events of national and local interest etc
