Η ΕΛΙΞ, συμμετέχει στο πλέγμα των δράσεων του προγράμματος "Young Activists for Peace - Welcome Refugees".
Μέσω του προγράμματος αυτού θα υλοποιηθούν μια σειρά από εκπαιδευτικά σεμινάρια και συναντήσεις στις οποίες στελέχη και εθελοντές της οργάνωσής μας θα συμμετέχουν.
Σκοπός των δράσεων είναι η κατανόηση των αιτιών της δημιουργίας των προσφυγικών ροών, οι κίνδυνοι που αντιμετωπίζουν τα θύματα μια τέτοια κρίσης καθώς και η δημιουργία δράσεων και θετικών παραδειγμάτων που θα συνεισφέρουν στην αντιμετώπιση των συνεπειών αλλά και την υποστήριξη των προσφύγων.
Πρώτη δράση στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος είναι το εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο που θα υλοποιηθεί στο Βερολίνο από τις 24 – 30/05/2016.
Η ΕΛΙΞ θα διαθέσει 2 θέσεις για εσάς που ενδιαφέρεστε για το θέμα αυτό και θέλετε ενεργά να συμμετέχετε ώστε στην συνέχεια μαζί με την ΕΛΙΞ να συμβάλετε στις δράσεις υποστήριξης των προσφύγων και μεταναστών.
Το πρόγραμμα υλοποιείτε με συγχρηματοδότηση από το Erasmus+ και συμμετέχουν εκτός της ΕΛΙΞ και της ICJA της Γερμανίας που έχει τον συντονισμό, οργανώσεις από το Βέλγιο, την Κροατία, την Γαλλία, την Ουγγαρία, την Ιταλία, την Σερβία και την Τουρκία.

SUMMARY
War, poverty and desperate living conditions are forcing millions of people to leave their countries and too many of them risk/lose their lives in search of asylum in the EU. For too long, governments have denied to acknowledge the cruel reality of refugees dying in the Mediterranean Sea and are still not able to agree on common strategies to enable asylum seekers to find safer ways out of the civil war in Syria for example. EU governments are more divided than ever in the EU’s history. Young people all over Europe are affected and worried about how this crisis will affect their own chances of living in a united and peaceful Europe. Welcoming refugees for many of them is a duty of active citizenship and solidarity, for others unfortunately it is a reason to express racism and hate, and even worse, to threaten those who help and welcome refugees. It is particularly disturbing that young people are easily influenced by nationalist and racist tendencies, discriminating and attacking refugees without ever having had a personal encounter with one of them.
Against this background, the project “Young Activists for Peace – Welcome Refugees” will enable personal encounters between young people from different corners of the EU and neighboring partner countries and people who had to flee from their countries/homes. The aim is to make young people aware about why and under which conditions people leave their homes and countries and enable them to overcome enemy stereotypes by turning them into positive personal experiences of sharing and caring. Furthermore young people will be more aware about their role as active citizens in constructing peaceful societies and standing up for refugees’ rights and combating racism, discrimination and xenophobia in the EU and elsewhere. To this end they will learn about concepts of nonviolent conflict resolution and peacebuilding and will gain competences for their own activities as youth workers/leaders in working with minorities and excluded groups.
ACTIVITIES
The project’s main starting activities are (in this order):
A. 24 – 30/05/2016, Training course for youth workers in Berlin / Germany
Participants: Youth workers/leaders from following partner organisations: Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Greek, Hungary, Italy, Serbia, Turkey.
Age: 18 years ++ (without limit)
VENUE: Pegasus Hostel, Berlin
ARRIVAL: 24.05.2016, arrival before 5 PM
DEPARTURE: 30.05.2016, departure after 12 PM
AIMS:
22 Υouth workers / leaders of each partner organization will meet for the first time and undergo a training and carry out activities to prepare themselves for their role and participation as youth leaders in Youth Exchanges and Workcamps related to peace building in the context of building a welcoming society for refugees. Another important aim is to prepare the two Youth Exchanges of ICJA / yap cfd in July and August 2016, which are also carried out in the framework of this Erasmus+ project.
PROGRAMME SUMMARY:
Participants will undergo a training based upon the educational concept “Friedensstifter (Young people becoming agents of peace)” which will enable them to acquire methodological competence and learn about peace education for international youth work activities. In the second part participants will be trained to run non formal learning and leisure time activities with sensitive groups with a focus on the refugees/asylum seekers they will meet during the youth exchange activities in summer 2016. As a preparation to these activities they will also learn about the causes of flight and migration, about European asylum policies and the danger of growing nationalism and racism. How is this all affecting their work in an international youth NGO and what measures should/could be taken? Finally the participants will have enough time for getting together in teams of 6 youth leaders which will have the task to agree on the final programme and prepare and divide the tasks for the two youth exchanges taking place in Giessen in July 2016 and in Sievershausen in August 2016.
Participant’s should be:
- active volunteers/staff/youth leaders of international workcamps or youth exchanges,
- able to participate in a discussion in English,
- actively and constructively involved in the training, preparation and follow-up,
- ready to apply the contents of this training in their youth work and to be the leader of at least one youth exchange in summer 2016

Υπόλοιπα Οικονομικά Στοιχεία
Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα χαρτιά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Σύμφωνα με τους νέους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+ και σύμφωνα με την χιλιομετρική απόσταση το ποσό επιστροφής είναι μέχρι 275€(*) για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.
*(It means that if you have a budget of 275€ and you spend 260€, you will receive all 260€, and in this case will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 300€ with a budget of 275€, we will reimburse you up to 275€.)
Η διαμονή και η διατροφή των συμμετεχόντων καλύπτεται πλήρως από το πρόγραμμα.
Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι 60€.
Σημαντική Σημείωση
Θα πρέπει οι συμμετέχοντες να λάβουν υπόψιν τους πως ένας από τους 2 θα συνοδεύσει-ηγηθεί μια ομάδα νέων, από την Ελλάδα, που θα συμμετέχουν στη δράση στο Giessen στις 16-30/7/16.
