Η ΕΛΙΞ είναι εταίρος του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος “Culture Act” που θα υλοποιηθεί από Αύγουστο 2021 έως Ιανουάριο 2022. Το πρόγραμμα συντονίζεται και υλοποιείται από την ολλανδική οργάνωση SIW International Volunteer Projects και υποστηρίζεται από το πρόγραμμα Erasmus+ με στόχο να παρέχει στους συμμετέχοντες καινοτόμες αυτοσχεδιαστικές δεξιότητες, ώστε να διευκολύνεται η διαπολιτισμική εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία κατά τη διάρκεια δράσεων διεθνούς εθελοντισμού.

Αναζητούμε 3 συμμετέχοντες ηλικίας 18+ για να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα (μερικώς διαδικτυακά, μερικώς στη χώρα της διοργανώτριας οργάνωσης-Ολλανδία και μερικώς στη χώρα προέλευσης των συμμετεχόντων) για μια διάρκεια έξι μηνών (Αύγουστο 2021 έως Ιανουάριο 2022).

Ο διεθνής εθελοντισμός, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του Ευρωπαϊκού Σώματος Αλληλλεγύης (ESC) επιτρέπει στη νεολαία να συνεργάζεται ως μία διεθνής ομάδα και να αναπτύσσει διάφορες ικανότητες και συμπεριφορές: διαπολιτισμική επικοινωνία και εκτίμηση/κατανόηση των πολιτισμικών διαφορών, δεξιότητες επικοινωνίας και επίλυσης προβλημάτων, αυτοανάπτυξη, ενισχυμένη αυτοπεποίθηση, ομαδική εργασία και πολλά άλλα. Το σεμινάριο απευθύνεται σε εκπαιδευτές οργανώσεων νέων, youth workers και ενεργά μέλη που διαδραματίζουν σημαντικό ρόλο στη διευκόλυνση αυτών των ελκυστικών διαδικασιών μη τυπικής μάθησης.

Η Ολλανδική οργάνωση SIW συντονίζει και υλοποιεί το παρόν πρόγραμμα σε συνεργασία με εταίρους. Η εκπαίδευση και οι on line συνεδρίες θα γίνουν από τους έμπειρους και λάτρεις του αυτοσχεδιαστικού θεάτρου Csenge Fazekas, Pujiarti and Rob van Leeuwen.

BACKGROUND OF THE PROJECT
SIW Internationale Vrijwilligersprojecten (SIW International Volunteer Projects) is a Dutch non-governmental, non-profit voluntary service organisation that was founded in 1953. The mission of SIW is to allow (young) people to discover their impact abroad. This is achieved by bringing volunteers into contact with different cultures. Every year, SIW sends approximately 150 volunteers abroad. Besides that, SIW organizes around 5 IVS camps in the Netherlands every year in cooperation with Dutch organizations like the Dutch State Forestry, Emmaus (international charitable movement to combat poverty and homelessness) and asylum seeker centres. SIW is part of international networks like CCIVS, the Alliance and SCI.
International volunteering, including European Solidarity Corps (ESC), allows youth to work together in an international team and develop various skills and attitudes: crosscultural communication and appreciation/understanding for cultural differences, communication and problem-solving skills, self-development, increased selfconfidence, teamwork, and many more.

Youth organisations’ trainers, youth workers and active members play a big role in facilitating these engaging learning processes. Culture Act is therefore organised to provide them with innovative improv skills to better facilitate the intercultural learning process during international volunteering.

LOCATION
Sessions will be on line (August-September-December 2021, January 2022). The 5-day training will take place in the Netherlands (29/08-04/09 2021). Implementation phase will take place in native countries of participants respectively.

METHODOLOGY

• Two online sessions to prepare for the training course (14 and 21 August)
• A 5-day training course to provide the participants with improv theatre skills to promote and facilitate cross-cultural exchange in international volunteering (29 August - 4 September in the Netherlands, including travel days)
• An implementation phase in which the participants practice and implement the skills and knowledge gained during the training back home (September- December)
• An online evaluation of the activities organised (8 January 2022)

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The main objectives of the project are. To:

• gain experiences in non-formal education and improv theatre as an inspirational method to improve facilitation and promotion of international volunteering and ESC,
• be equipped with cross-cultural competencies to facilitate interaction with (international) youth groups and international volunteers back home,
• create new improv methods to facilitate and promote cross-cultural communication,
• develop an action plan to be implemented in your organisation’s context as well as at the international level.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
Culture Act is a project that is supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The project is coordinated and implemented by SIW in close collaboration with the partners.

The training course and online sessions will be facilitated by Csenge Fazekas, Pujiarti and Rob van Leeuwen, who have gained a lot of cross-cultural competences through their training work as well as living abroad. They are experienced facilitators, while they are improv-theatre lovers too :)

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS
Anyone that recognizes the profile below:

• Have interest and or experience in international volunteering and cross-cultural communication,
• Willing to learn more about improv theatre to promote and facilitate cross-cultural communication,
• Be an active (voluntary) (staff) member in the partner organisations involved,
• Committed to participate in all 4 phases as described above August 2020 – January 2021,
• Interested in creating friendship and sharpening cross-cultural sensitivity with IVS group leaders from all around Europe,
• Minimum 18 years old,
• Sufficient level of English to express oneself during the training course and seminar.

Υπόλοιπα Οικονομικά Στοιχεία
Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα χαρτιά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Σύμφωνα με τους νέους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+ και σύμφωνα με την χιλιομετρική απόσταση το ποσό επιστροφής είναι μέχρι 360€(*) για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.
*(It means that if you have a budget of 360€ and you spend 200€, you will receive all 200€, and in this case it will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 400€ with a budget of 360€, we will reimburse you up to 360€.)
Travel costs will be covered based on the unit costs of the program. Please note that participants will be reimbursed the real costs of their transport fees up to a certain limit as per information below. Please do not buy travel tickets until your participation has been approved by Concordia. All the travel costs will be reimbursed the earliest 3 months after the end of the youth exchange.

Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι €100 και καλύπτει μέρος των λειτουργικών και διοικητικών εξόδων της ΕΛΙΞ ως οργάνωσης αποστολής.
