Μέσω της ΕΛΙΞ, μπορείς να δηλώσεις συμμετοχή στο εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα στη Βιέννη της Αυστρίας, με όνομα "Participatory and Emancipatory Approaches for Youth Work" και σημείο επικέντρωσης τις κοινωνικές και πολιτιστικές αντιπαραθέσεις, στο εργασιακό περιβάλλον του youth work. Το πρόγραμμα βοηθάει τους συμβούλους νέων και απασχολούμενους στον τομέα της νεολαίας να διευρύνουν τις δεξιότητες τους ώστε να αντιμετωπίσουν πιο αποτελεσματικά τους παράγοντες που διαμορφώνουν ανισότητες και περιθωριοποίηση μέσα στην κοινωνία.

Η εκπαίδευση που παρέχεται στοχεύει στην υιοθέτηση, εκ μέρους των συμμετεχόντων, καλών πρακτικών για την αντιμετώπιση δυσμενών καταστάσεων και χειρισμού συγκρούσεων με ασφαλή και εποικοδομητικό τρόπο.

Αναζητούμε τρεις (3) συμμετέχοντες, ηλικίας 20 έως 30 ετών, για να λάβουν μέρος σε αυτό το ιδιαίτερο training course!

Αναλυτικότερα για το "Participatory and Emancipatory Approaches for Youth Work" Training Course :

Youth workers are most prone to social-cultural confrontations and conflictual situations in their regular work because they work with very diverse and mostly marginalized communities and are often at the front lines of with youngsters from all backgrounds; yet, pragmatic approaches to address the growing social needs of these youngsters within the current political climate remain dismal. Also, current approaches to cultural and social competency do not adequately equip youth workers to address the complex factors that shape inequality and marginalization within society and do not properly equip them to handle conflict in the daily work.

The training aims to provide youth workers with a more comprehensive approach for ensuring culturally and socially competent practices to tackle inequality and marginalisation, while handling possible conflict safely and constructively. In this training, we utilize innovative conflict transformation practices to inform an emancipatory perspective to cultural and social competency that shifts the current discourse to one that questions structures and processes of power instead of accepting them as status quo. We utilize the definition of “emancipatory approach” as one that enhances understanding of how power works to limit opportunities, create marginalization, and perpetuate inequities. Therefore, our emancipatory approach to cultural and social competency in youth work should be well informed from an understanding and operationalization of critical understanding because critical thinking helps to challenge social inequities by moving beyond what is on the surface to analyze the roots of injustice that cause conflicts. As Kincheloe Joe states, critical thinking is when people reflect on the discursive practices and power relations present within society in order to disengage from them.

OBJECTIVES

1. Explore two innovative educational tools which can be used to raise the conflict transformation competences of their target groups and accompany them in developing their own initiatives for social and cultural justice
2. Deepen understanding of concepts related to conflict transformation and analyse social cultural conflicts
3. Develop a bystander sense of intervention to address injustice and promote emancipation
4. Provide a space for the transfer of the acquired knowledge and competences to the local youth work reality
5. Develop follow-up projects on local and international level in the field of conflict transformation.

PARTICIPANTS

This training course is open to youth workers between 20 and 30 years old. We are looking for 3 participants from each of the following countries: Austria, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, and Spain.

YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IF YOU ARE:

• Between 20 and 30 years old
• Able to communicate in English (minimum B1 level)
• Be a citizen or a resident of one of the included countries of the participating organisations
• Able to fully and actively participate in the whole duration of the activity and in all sessions
• Motivated to take part in a mutual learning process in a highly intercultural setting
• Be curious, appreciate diversity and learn about each other’s realities
• Ready to support dissemination and visibility activities online and offline
• Able to implement the follow-up initiative within 4 months after participation

Before the training course:

• Check the conditions for travelling to Vienna, Austria and back to your country
• Purchase and collect all travel tickets after consultation and agreement with the coordinating organization
• Cooperate with the participants from your country and prepare together for the trip and the mobility
• Do the preparatory and "homework" tasks in your national group

During the training course:

• Actively participate in all workshop sessions and the planned activities
• Take part in the dissemination of the results of the mobility (posts on Social Media, videos, blog posts, etc)
• Deliver all travel documents to the coordinating organization (EMOTiC)

After the training course:

• Disseminate results, both offline and online (send all the documentation/pictures to the organizers)
• Implement the local follow-up initiative that you designed with the national team during the training

WHAT TO BRING:

• Passport/ID card
• Any needed medicines;
• Insurance (please bring your EHIC card or the equivalent)
• Comfortable walking shoes and clothes for outdoors
• Towels and Shampoo (those are not provided by the hostel)
• Sweets/Cookies from your country
• Flags, Games, songs, dances, quizzes, and traditions to represent!

Υπόλοιπα Οικονομικά Στοιχεία :

Η διαμονή και η διατροφή καλύπτονται πλήρως από τους διοργανωτές.

Τα αεροπορικά εισιτήρια μπορείτε να κλείστε ΜΟΝΟ καθώς έχετε λάβει γραπτή επιβεβαίωση της συμμετοχής σας στο πρόγραμμα από την ΕΛΙΞ.

Το κόστος μετακινήσεων επιστρέφεται στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος μέσω τραπεζικής κατάθεσης και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα αποδεικτικά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Σύμφωνα με τους νέους όρους του προγράμματος Erasmus+ και σύμφωνα με την χιλιομετρική απόσταση το ποσό επιστροφής είναι 275€ για κάθε συμμετέχοντα.

*(It means that if you have a budget of 275€ and you spend 220€, you will receive all 220€, and in this case it will be the 100% of the travel. Otherwise for example, if you spend 300€ with a budget of 275€, you will receive up to 275€.)

Οι συμμετέχοντες καλούνται να συμπληρώσουν την ατομική αξιολόγηση (EU Survey) μετά από το πέρας του προγράμματος.

Το συνολικό κόστος συμμετοχής ανέρχεται στα 100 ευρώ και καλύπτει μέρος των λειτουργικών και διοικητικών εξόδων της οργάνωσης ΕΛΙΞ.
