Η ΕΛΙΞ, εταίρος του εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος με τίτλο "Crossing paths - driving change", που διοργανώνεται από την οργάνωση Grenzenlos σε συνεργασία με το “Generation Earth, WWF network for young, active people” του WWF της Αυστρίας, αναζητά 5 συμμετέχοντες ηλικίας 18+ προκειμένου να συμμετέχουν στο πρόγραμμα.

Το σεμινάριο, με θέμα τη βιώσιμη ανάπτυξη, θα πραγματοποιηθεί από τις 4 έως τις 13 Ιουλίου 2018 στην Αυστρία στις εγκαταστάσεις του “Lebensgut miteinander”. Το πρόγραμμα, συγχρηματοδοτείται από το Erasmus+ και θα συμμετέχουν 25 άτομα από δέκα χώρες.

A lack of connection to nature and understanding for what we as individuals can do to live a more sustainable lifestyle is having massive consequences on our planet - we are in the midst of a global crisis. Cultural misunderstandings, competition for resources, impacts from climate change, and lack of trust among cultures often lead to aggression and violence around the world. Our daily habits are hard to break; it’s too easy to ignore the inconvenient facts of the impending climate crisis and depleting resources; we focus more on our personal needs without care or concern for others; and we consume as if there were no limits to planetary boundaries.

Simultaneously, more and more movements and programs are developing throughout Europe and the world to create a more conscientious, sustainable and equal world. The potential of these groups and initiatives is remarkable, especially when it comes to young people’s thirst for action and involvement in driving change.

To support this change and involve youth around Europe in this change, WWF-Austria’s “Generation Earth” in cooperation with the international, social organization, “Grenzenlos” will host an international training course for youth workers in July 2018 with the aim to build bridges, share intercultural experiences and offer alternatives to the consumerism-driven world. Looking at the world in an open, understandable way and spreading methods for driving such needed change is the base for a more connected and fair world.

Project Concept
This initiative is a living project - a community that promotes aspects such as self-sufficiency, equality and community-focused lifestyle without age borders. Through workshops (on topics like leadership and project management), hands-on experiences, work projects, expert input from various organizations, and various outdoor activities (such as outdoor sports, camping, helping at the local farm, etc.), youth workers will gain insight into the topic of sustainable living and tools as well as motivation to inspire youth with whom they work. After the training they will be able to get active themselves and promote the values and methods in their own projects back home.

Where? In a community village “Lebensgut miteinander” (“Living good with another”) located in Lower Austria
When? From the 4th to the 13th of July 2018
Who? 25 participants coming from 10 different countries

Goals of the project
The aim of this youth worker training is to raise awareness for the importance of sustainable living and intercultural connection. Secondly, it will develop a core of motivated and active youth workers, equipped with knowledge and related methods/approaches to take action for sustainable projects with youth. Furthermore, the international connections will help increasing international cooperation and cultural understanding. Finally, the project will support the participants’ personal development and their connection to the environment and living sustainably.

Participants’ profile
Youth workers and young leaders who have been actively involved within their sending organization and willing to bring the results back to the organization’s staff.
Youth workers/leaders who intervene in the organization and coordination of summer camps and projects and/or people who are involved in developing projects within the organization.

The participant should be in the capacity of:
• Sharing their experiences and their organization’s good practices in terms of communication strategy and social inclusion
• Spreading the training results to other people within the organization and to implement what was learnt/acquired/produced during the training.

Οικονομικά Στοιχεία
Το κόστος των μετακινήσεων για κάθε συμμετέχοντα στο πρόγραμμα αυτό επιδοτείται μέχρι του ποσού των 275€(*), σύμφωνα με τους όρους και τους κανόνες του Erasmus+. Οι συμμετέχοντες λαμβάνουν την επιδότηση αυτή μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα δικαιολογητικά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…).
(*: Επεξήγηση: αν λοιπόν το συνολικό κόστος των εισιτηρίων σου, αεροπορικά, μετρό, λεωφορεία, κλπ (όχι ΤΑΞΙ) φτάσει τα 255€ τότε θα λάβεις 255€ άρα θα επιδοτηθεί το 100% του κόστους των μετακινήσεων σου. Αν το συνολικό κόστος φτάσει τα 300€ τότε θα λάβεις το μέγιστο της επιδότησης τα 275€.)

Η διαμονή και η διατροφή των συμμετεχόντων καλύπτονται πλήρως από το πρόγραμμα.

Το ποσό συμμετοχής προς την ΕΛΙΞ είναι 100€.
