"Under Construction" - Εκπαιδευτικό Σεμινάριο για Leaders στο Βερολίνο

Η ΕΛΙΞ αναζητά έναν ομαδάρχη ή έμπειρο εθελοντή της (που επιθυμεί να γίνει ομαδάρχης αυτό το καλοκαίρι με την ΕΛΙΞ σε πρόγραμμα στην Ελλάδα) για να συμμετέχει στο εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο "Under Construction: Culture and Identity in the Globalizing World" που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Βερολίνο από την οργάνωση IJGD από τις 26 Απριλίου έως τις 3 Μαΐου 2013.

Στο πρόγραμμα θα συμμετέχουν 28 εκπαιδευόμενοι, ηλικίας 18 έως 30 χρονών από 14 χώρες της Ευρώπης. Το εκπαιδευτικό σεμινάριο είναι σχεδιασμένο να βοηθήσει ανθρώπους που ασχολούνται με την καθοδήγηση και των συντονισμό ομάδων εθελοντών.

Project description:
"Under Construction: Culture and Identity in the Globalizing World" is a training course on culture, identity and discrimination which appears due to belonging to different cultures. By focusing on examples of identity based discrimination and exclusion in the field of international youth and voluntary work, we would like to explore together with experienced camp leaders, youth workers and young trainers their preconceptions on these issues and try to widen their horizons. The training is targeting young people who are ready to commit their time and work in fight stereotypes and prejudices existing in their societies or within their work by organizing workshops in their local communities upon their return.

In this training course we would like to challenge concepts of national identity and national culture that usually exist in the minds of youngsters and represent the product of secondary socialization through their education, influence of global media and raising right wing movements across the Europe during the economical crisis in previous years. Furthermore, gender, ethnicity and race will also be topics we will cover during this training, since many of them do appear as challenges in the workcamps.

Objectives:
1) to discuss different concepts of culture and identity and their potential to fight stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination;
2) to define meaning of intercultural learning and become aware of its importance for development of personal comeptences of youth, making social change, living in multicultural environment, peace building and realizing of human rights;
3) to identify the role of international youth and voluntary programmes in the process of intercultural learning and intercultural exchange with the local environment;
4) to share and exchange tools and practices of involvment of youngsters into intercultural learning through international voulntary programmes;
5) to raise awareness among youth and social workers who are involved in international education programmes.

Working methods:
The methodology of the project will be interactive, non-formal, providing spaces for background discussions and reflections. There will be different non-formal training methods used to build a dynamic program to ensure active involvement and participation of the participants: icebreakers, name games, team building games, working groups, role plays, plenary sessions. The methods are chosen in a way to allow a maximum of learning effects.
The applied methods will help the participants to assimilate the gained information, materials. The acquired knowledge will ensure a firm effect for the personal development of the participants.

Οικονομικά στοιχεία:
Η διαμονή και η διατροφή καλύπτονται πλήρως από του διοργανωτές.
Το 70% του κόστους μετακινήσεων επιστρέφει στους συμμετέχοντες μετά από την ολοκλήρωση του προγράμματος και αφού έχουν καταθέσει τα απαραίτητα χαρτιά (αποδείξεις, εισιτήρια, boarding pass, κλπ…). Το ποσό αυτό σύμφωνα με του όρους των προγραμμάτων της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης δεν μπορεί να ξεπερνά ένα άνω όριο όπου για αυτό το πρόγραμμα είναι:
