Στο Cascais της Πορτογαλίας, Ευρωπαϊκή Πρωτεύουσα Νεολαίας για το 2018, πραγματοποιείται από τις 23 έως 25 Νοεμβρίου 2017 η συνάντηση “Council of Members” της ευρωπαϊκής πλατφόρμας νεολαίας European Youth Forum, που αποτελείται από 104 οργανώσεις - ευρωπαϊκές οργανώσεις νεολαίας και εθνικά συμβούλια νεολαίας.

Τις τελευταίες μέρες η καρδιά του διεθνούς εθελοντισμού χτυπάει στην Αθήνα, μέσα από ένα πλαίσιο συναντήσεων που φιλοξενεί η ΕΛΙΞ μαζί με τους εταίρους της, 95 οργανώσεις από 54 χώρες όλου του κόσμου.

Την Τρίτη 31/10/2017 η ΕΛΙΞ φιλοξενεί το “Open Forum on Freedom of Movement” που θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο ξενοδοχείο Oasis στη Γλυφάδα.

Η ΕΛΙΞ με την υποστήριξη της UNICEF και με τη χρηματοδότηση της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής (DG ECHO) ξεκίνησε τον Οκτώβριο του 2017, την υλοποίηση εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος για παιδιά πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες ηλικίας 3-17 ετών και τους γονείς τους που βρίσκονται στην Αττική.

Το πρόγραμμα στοχεύει, μέσα από ένα πλέγμα εκπαιδευτικών και ψυχοκοινωνικών δραστηριοτήτων, στην καθημερινή υποστήριξη των ανήλικων προσφύγων και μεταναστών, καθώς και των οικογενειών τους, με σκοπό την ένταξή τους στο εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα.

Συνεχίζοντας την επιτυχημένη συνεργασία με την Finn Church Aid (FCA), η ΕΛΙΞ ξεκινά το "Project Yoga", ένα εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα για τους πρόσφυγες, τους μετανάστες και τον ντόπιο πληθυσμό, το οποίο προωθεί την μη τυπική εκπαίδευση ως εργαλείο ενσωμάτωσης και προσωπικής ανάπτυξης.

Η ΕΛΙΞ ενετάχθει στο Εθνικό Μητρώο ελληνικών και ξένων Μη Κυβερνητικών Οργανώσεων που δραστηριοποιούνται σε θέματα διεθνούς προστασίας, μετανάστευσης και κοινωνικής ένταξης.

Η ΕΛΙΞ το 2017 γιορτάζει 30 χρόνια δράσης. Η παρουσία της στο χώρο του εθελοντισμού σε εθνικό και διεθνές επίπεδο συνεχίζεται αμείωτα όλα αυτά τα χρόνια με αξιοπιστία και ευθύνη, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα ετησίως σε ολοένα και αυξανόμενο αριθμό νέων να συμμετάσχουν σε εθελοντικά προγράμματα στο εξωτερικό, με τον ίδιο τρόπο που υποδέχεται ξένους εθελοντές στη χώρα μας.
